I think music and sound design is one of the most important parts of a game, and having a good soundtrack can make all the difference. Sadly, I am in my 30s and I only know one person who cares about game music, most people I know mute it and play whatever they want over it instead. It's only going to get worse as I get older unless I suddenly make friends with vidya composers or something.
