Hello, wanting to start this game, how's this for a psi build? Any tips for starting attributes and/or skills?

Max will and intelect, rest of it-spend how you like, usualy i go strength for weight amount\nades and perception fot detection,constitution is for pussies(you gona demolish everything in few turns with psi build if you play correctly or get demolished otherwise.)
If you on normal invest in all psi skills, but in temporal you dont need points above 70 cause scaling abilities for temporal are shit, and 70 is enough to learn all good stuff.
Learn throwing, tailoring, electronics. Your build should focus on high mobility so tabi and light armor is a go. Since we are talking about all in psi, just ignore all battle skills(except throwing, you need to raise that shit to the level you will be hitting enemies and not yourself with nades), after few starting quests you just stop using all other weapons alltogether if you min max on psi.
Also raise you traps to some level-not because you gona use em, but because with this low perception you gona die to them a lot.
Personaly il go for psychosis, since tranquility will not work after you take dmg, and you will take dmg. Also i invest in crafting before dodge and evasion, cause i love glass-canon psi build, but you may want to avoid my level of dedication for psi-cancer.
Nimble and paranoia i think is best thing for psi build on starts.
so is the sprint feet useful if I'm focusing on mobility?
also, is fast metabolism not worth it? it's the reason I have con up to 6.
and what can you craft with electronics exactly?
Eyup, basicaly strat is- you start fight, go in, nuke em with dmg, get out, wait for cooldowns and psi to regen. If you cant ran away far enough you block em with force-field or get in stasis.
Also proxy with implosion into telekinetic punch with psionic mania combo can otk even final boss.
Psi bands and shields obviously. Shields are matter of life and death in late game.
Problem with metabolism is you rarely use all your psi in one go, cause psi abilities also need ap obviously. So you not gona use that 25 points properly , maybe 10-12.

and I'm not sure what the specialization section is, I'm assuming that's something I'll be introduced too at some point into the game. last thing, is throwing essential early on? or can I ditch it and go full psi? I tried running around the base at the beginning and it seems like I can manage to get a few psi skills for free early on.
i tried so many times with multiple builds with this game but i didn't feel like i was having fun and dominating until i went psi

yeah, considering you dont need to kill enemies yourself to get xp, because the whole xp system is different, it encourages stuff like that

Money worth nothing. There are only 2 things that need money savings in this game-it is crafting tables in your house and stupid overpriced jets. Some people argue what you need rare crafting materials from shop merch unlocks, but i usualy get all materials i need without it.
You can get all SGS abilities even before junkyard, but first things first-get punch, overload and pyrokenesis before everything else or you will have problems even with basic quests.
Specialization is a thing after level 20, by that time you will know where and how you want to use your spec points.
Max psi skills and throwing every level up. You will reach throwing and temporal 70 skill points on level 12 which is quite early, and after that you can forget about using skill points for them.

Here's what I ended up with in my pure Psi run. Better play it fast before Styg nerfs it! Or maybe he's only nerfing it in the standalone expansion. Also, fuck this game takes a long time to load.

Already played as AR fag on normal, Machette crit on hard, and hoplite str shield on dominating.
You can cheese most of the game with stealth, TNT and traps. It gets old really fast tho.

Nigga I've already finished a game 2 times, currently in a institute and go for expedition pirate route. Just want to try new thing, since stealth here is suprisingly good for a isometric game. Guess I have to go psibitch or fist fag build next.

Get powder nades from oculus ASAP(remembe you not only need 10 ap to throw nade but also 10 ap to stealth with it. If you have ,for example, 19 ap and you will use powder nade you not gona enter stealth).

Normal humans with out this psi bullshit: strongest and most noble
Pure psi wizards: weaker but versitile so they have many tricks and ways to handle situations
Hybrids: the game automatically deletes your save
It seems however the developer has in mind forcing everyone to simply be a hybrid with how overpowered the support psi is. It makes one wonder why you even have the choice of psi or no psi to start with? It is currently a false choice, you must take psi or suffer.

You can cheese the game on dominating either way. Psi is always stronger, since it gives you more tools, specially now with temporal manipulation reducing CDs and giving you extra movement and AP for more and better melee/dakka.
