How come Persona 4 has so much soul compared to anime trash like 3 and 5?

4 is the worst one out of the three tho

persona 3 and 4 are the very definition of anti-soul. the quality between those two games and the rest of the other megami tensei games on the ps2 is fucking staggering.

P3 had so much more soul with the dark hour and the school transforming into a dungeon. The night scenes had so much atmosphere.

What, 3 is extremely soulful. The game does everything it can to make you feel like shit. Party members actually felt like people as well. When you play it for the first time, you have no idea where it's going. I LOVE 4 as well, but 3 is excellent as well. I'm greatly looking forward to a Steam port, but I wish I could erase my memory of the game and play it for the first time.v

P4 was the worst modern Persona game by fucking FAR.
Plot has NO sense of urgency for the first 80%. You piss about with your twodimensional gang whose only reason for existence is to suck the MC's dick with an intensity unseen in other Persona games. It's the ultimate lonely weeb fantasy with everyone else going "wow senpai! you are so perfect! senpai is there nothing you CAN'T do?" etc.
It was frankly embarrassing, and I've watched my share of throwaway harem senpai uguu anime shows.
