Worms 2020

>the Worms are back in 2020 like you’ve never seen them before.
What did they mean by this?

I think there is a lot of potential for a new 3D worms game. They just need to make better use of the extra dimension and add a few more mechanics. Maybe 3D water physics and setting things on fire that would spread each turn and block off parts of the terrain. More objects such as mines barrels sentries shields and girders. More building mechanics and objects that would give more importance to map control and strategy. Worms formula has been getting stale and this would make it better. I don't like the vehicles from WMD though.

Does nobody really care?

I do.

I like the "blocky" terrain the 3D games have, probably because it makes overall movement easier. I still think the controls in general are kinda rough, super excited to see what will they bring in the next one.

I think a rope that works in 3 dimensions in the new game would be cool. Like you can actually hang and swing in any direction and change the length as well. More like a real rope than a classic worms rope. I would also make it less OP because ropefest games are fucking lame imo. I prefer more strategy and artillery and strategic object placing such as sentries and mines and shields.

>Like you can actually hang and swing in any direction and change the length as well
Wouldn't that make the rope even more broken? It would be like Worms having Sekiro, or Spiderman 2 movement, which I don't think is a bad thing at all, but would make rope movement pretty much always the way to go.

I never learned how to do cool 3D rope tricks but had tons of fun playing with my buddies, wish the Gamecube version didn't force everyone to play with 1 controller so we could netplay. The PC version is really bad to netplay, and I don't really like Ultimate Mayhem that much.

3D Worms would have to be like turn-based TF2

Yes it would be more like spiderman but you ignore part of my post where I said I would nerf it. I would nerf the amout you could nudge to gain speed and hitting objects while roped would cause damage just like falling. No bouncing and shit allowed. Maybe if there was a pickup or powerup or something that would negate fall damage and make yourm bouncy. Like a rubber potion or mystery crate or something.

Armageddon is literally perfect in every aspect and there's nothing they can do to top it.

Me too, it's one of my favorite franchises ever.
I loved the water mechanic, the vehicles, going inside houses and crafting on opponent's turns.
I can't wait to see what comes after

Ropelet AND a retard.

>opinion
Yes dude. An opinion.
Just as yours is an opinion. Jogger.

>I never got to use them with my brother because fuck grinding campaign for money to buy.

armgeddon is the best by far. its not an opinion

Hopefully they keep worms asexual without the rgb politics

>there's nothing they can do to top it.
3.8

>its not an opinion
Every single thought you had in your small brain is an opinion. Life is subjectively experiences thus making everything you experience an opinion you stupid fuck. No such thing as objective. Objective is not a perspective. At best it's an ideal. Armageddon is my fav out of all the 2d worms but I still hate the things that I said I hate about it.

>implying team17 will ever let them release it

Yeah, submitted. Those assholes won't release it.

Great, now only another 10 years before they patch in WWP content and features to W:A

unless T17 can prove the RC is not suited for release(gamebreaking bugs, incompatibility with whatever etc), which they can't since they're incompetent and even issued a broken 3.7.2 which Deadcode patched immediately, they can't refuse to publish a new version of a game they intentionally left these dudes in charge of.

It's extremely unlikely they'll manage to make a game worth mentioning after a year. They just need to focus on W:Armageddon.

Not sure if you're retarded, or just don't know what 3.8 is...
WWP content and features can already be achieved in W:A with rubberworm and other wormkit modules, and 3.8 integrated those modules in the main game, improves on them, and adds more stuff, so 3.8 = patching WWP content and features in W:A, and more.

How about turn based CS:GO?

that's pretty much what mayhem already is

Last official T17 update was 3.7. Every update past that was solely developed by DC and CS submitting it to T17 for QA.

except 3.7.2 which broke stuff and DC had to make a patch to revert 3.7.1

>they're incompetent
I doubt they even noticed it has been submitted.
>I hate the rope mechanics
The rope mechanics are the best out of all worms games. With practice you can do anything with the rope and you're not limited by some shitty physics that makes roping feel slow and annoying.
>I hate the projectile and grenade physics
projectile and granade physics are simple and predictable once you stop being completely shit at the game, they offer a huge amount of creativity when shooting or throwing nades
>I hate the slidy worm physics when falling and I hate the rigid 0 momentum movement when movement
I don't even know what this is supposed to mean.
T17 also made 3.7.2.2 which broke lots of stuff. They simply have a hateboner for Armageddon ever since the WWP remaster failed miserably.
