I used to think like this. Growing up I knew that people thought gaming or anime was gay and for nerds so when I was growing up and good-looking people were around the anime club I felt instinctively betrayed that people are enjoying the fruits of my hardships and suffering through my initial support of said hobby.

Then I stopped being a faggot and realized that I can also take care of my body and be socially adept and the jealousy naturally faded. I even got to know some of these hot people and some actually even got into the hobby around the same time I did.

I have to unfortunately accept this. For years I was praying for Monster Hunter to catch on in the West. Now that it finally has, it feels hollow and empty, and I feel ostracized from the fanbase whereas before, even though I was practically a nobody, I was still acquainted with some of the big names (Grahf, mazeron, many of the old GFAQs crew). The thing is, this is the only way it could have gotten popular. I'd be fooling myself if I thought an HD PC MonHun would have ever existed in anything resembling it's previous incarnations.

Read what I wrote. I don't post on FB. I don't read other people's posts. I strictly use it for the Messenger. Sparingly at that. I check up on it maybe once a week.
