Worst game in the series

>worst game in the series
>also the best-selling by far
So this series is permanently ruined now, right?

dunno if it was ever good. never played it

Exterior decorating that isn't aids, improved interior decorating, and terraforming>>>>>>>>>>>>>Anything that is currently missing (most of it will return anway, lol)

This is an objective truth, get bent you fucking nerd

>wanting a dollhouse simulator instead of a game where you can actually interact with villagers properly

I personally think that City Folk was the worst. Yeah, there are some annoying parts in New Horizons like tools breaking, not a lot to do at certain times, and minor nitpicks. But the customization aspect is great and really lets you make your town stand out from everyone else's. City Folk is basically Wild World, but on a console and the added city.

Nah, the game is great and continues to get free updates. I'm positive there will be a significant paid expansion eventually as well, given its popularity.

Upgrade your friendship level with the villagers if you want to unlock the old interactions.

I have. Every day, they still talk about how crazy it is that I dug up fossils or buried bells underground. Every single day. They comment on every daily task with the same one voice line, every day.

I never understood the point of getting excited over having so many villagers when they all act the fucking same.

Terraforming and outside decoration makes it easily the best

>instead of a game where you can actually interact with villagers properly
AC has always been as deep as a puddle and a dollhouse with no depth to it.

And yet they somehow made it worse.

Also zero interesting villager dialogue and basically an early access game

yeah I so miss popping balloons to get a shitty balloon furniture and nothing else.

AC used to be a weird somewhat unique social simulator where characterization and storylines could emerge through interactions

now it's just the sims lite where you can select your perfect roster of cute dollies and place them exactly where they want as they all kiss the ground you walk on for the privilege

>trying to romanticize RNG and shit that nobody liked like random move-ins and move-outs

Maybe having everything go your way 100% of the time wasn't the point.

>nooo you're supposed to get frustrated and deal with whatever bullshit the game throws at you
>nooo stop playing games to enjoy yourself, you must deal with artificial bullshit

Spot on, I'm not even an old fag in the series, only started on new leaf but even I can see the problems that are emerging. This game was delayed and even with the delay had cut content and is still pretty lacking, but because it sold well, those issues don't matter much.

Just play minecraft then if you don't want a game "throwing bullshit at you," because that's the whole point of video games.

Spoken like a true pleb. it was fun getting to know characters that you didn't appreciate at first. now it's all about just kicking out the uglies.

New Leaf is 20 times worse than NH.

>10 neighbors in your town
>only 8 neighbor types, so you're guaranteed to have at least 2 literal clones in your town
I can't understand the rationale for this. Isn't this a little immersion-breaking?

Oh but that wasn't a problem in the original game with 16 villagers and only 6 personalities?

I don't know, this is my first Animal Crossing game.

You didnt notice that cuz the writing was vastly superior in the original game

actually the original villagers are all boring as fuck to talk to and there are too many to be assed to speak to them all every time.

They just didn't improve what should've been improve and it's really showing now, because there are not enough bells and whistles like in NL to distract from that.

I just wish they would add content to the game.

The addition of leaf and redd was something but a very little something.

Don't worry bro, they'll add an event where you ride Kappn's boat and then take a picture with him and he gives you a piece of furniture, and then you repeat this for 30 days

true that writing was better in the original, but pretending that the dialogue was that much more varied in that game is a meme
you didn't even need to max out the villager count in the original to get the same essay about building a swimming pool or going shopping in another town from two different villagers in a row

I don't even get the point of animal crossing.

That's what I am afraid of.

At this point they will kind of have to rework villagers and add new interactions with them.

I'd also like more furniture and the ability to put stringlights on fence and trees
