Why does Zig Forums have the same games in 90% of their 3x3 charts?

If a game is both good and popular it’s a fuckin’ inevitably that that game will show up in a lot of people’s favorites lists.

In fact I can almost guarantee more people AVOID putting popular games on their lists because they want them to be more interesting

Yeah hype can really ruin a game. I guess the thing to remember is hype is usually there for a reason, it's just never as good as people say. Just temper your expectations of stuff and go in with an open mind and you'll find yourself enjoying stuff a lot more.

Well that's why it's so strange that people follow that give mind mentality. I'm telling your right now that people who go on here (especially the young ones) fall easily into the group think shit. Rarely is there a unique opinion on here.

Never played deus ex so i won't comment on that, but planescape IS great. Its lived because it keept high level of philosophical and existential debate all the way throught, and im now exagering here only a little. Ofcure there are a lots of pseuds that only watched it on youtube or readed about it on v, because its gameplay is tideous. But all those people dont make it a bad game.
Id say more overrepresented game in 3x3 threads is dark souls.

i've actually considered getting planescape before

but yeah dark souls is both over-shilled and shitty. you'd raise the IQ of Zig Forums 15 points in a week if you made discussing dark souls in a non-negative manner a permanently bannable offense

I played and loved deus ex and planescape since before this website existed and it's not your zoomer tastes that will change my mind about them
