She’s not different to Ellie and Joel really in fact I would argue she might be a better person since she lets the other prisoners go after killing Joel (pretty sure if Joel was in that situation he would have murdered everyone to tie up lose ends just like he did with Marlene)

For the record I still think TLOU2 is dogshit and Abby was a terrible addition to the game I’m not trying to defend

I wouldn’t say TLOU was misery porn. Despite all of the horrible shit happening, it had a coherent theme and ending that showcased a ray of hope and helped you to get into Joel’s mindset and make you understand why he did the things he did. By contrast, TLOU2 does none of that shit and is just miserable just for the sake of being miserable.

The point is that the game does not try to paint Abby on a good light, even though she is not really in the wrong. It is half-assed, it forgets the story IS NOT REAL LIFE, and storytelling's central pillar is how you present things to the audience. A good storyteller can make a good villain appears to be on the right just by showing his perspective

Abby debuts killing the character the public loves right after getting helped by him, them she wacks the shit out of the girl on the cover of the game, and finally she threatens to kill a pregnant woman after wacking her head on the floor so hard her nose should be to the sides. The game does a poor job on selling Abby, even though in a cold analysis of facts isolated from the storytelling, she is not really that bad. No wonder people are flipping out over the fact Ellie lets her live, till now I haven't seen a soul who didn't want Abby to die.

Flipping the guitar the other way and slowly learning how to play with the other hand while the credits roll feels like the proper ending, doesn't it?

True. I thought that was the whole point of all the Abby parts of the game though to try and make people sympathize with her? Although it felt super forced which is maybe why it failed. They should have just had Abby execute Joel with a bullet in the back of the head or something and not be so violent against Ellie and Dina.
I’m still on the fence about this game, I genuinely enjoyed the stealth and exploration parts of the first game so even if the story is not as good I might still enjoy it. The scenery looks amazing too

murdering everyone to tie up loose ends is the superior, moral decision in that world, killing Marlene and whoever else that can come for you and exact revenge is simply saving time for all involved, either they were coming to kill you and you win, or they actually get to kill you, there is nothing else.

There was some thread here a few days ago with people posting vocaroos of them trying to play songs with only two fingers it was pretty funny. Some of them actually sounded pretty good. I was able to get Stairway to Heaven but couldnt do it when any other songs I know

What I don’t get is why does Ellie try and play the guitar at all when she gets back to the house? Like did she just straight up forget she lost two fingers? They way she tries to go through the chords and pauses whenever she messes one up makes it seem like she didn’t even realize she was missing fingers until she tries to play

Marlene was such a cunt though Joel takes Ellie across the entire country and Marlene just says “oh btw were killing her lol” the second he wakes up and then throws him out of her base without even paying him what he was owed for a job that was supposed to take one day instead of AN ENTIRE FUCKING YEAR
