Can we please discuss obscure games which feels like you're the only person who played it. Feel free to scrutinize objectively, or praise away. Blunt insults without basis are not welcome.
>Pic related, I loved this game and I have never seen it discussed.
Can we please discuss obscure games which feels like you're the only person who played it...
Why dont we have more games with 8 man parties? Only games I know that do this are Dungeon Siege and Wiz8
Unironically loved it even if it was a piece of shit, I never see it talked about
The GBA has tons of interesting puzzle games
Ahhh yes the only game with one loading screen
I’ve restarted that game like 5 times. Never got past the snow area.
ok
What I really liked is the choice of picking party size, and who was in it. The gamble of molding the peasants you met at the beginning and trying to pick a class for them, vs. meeting actual experts of a class later on and hiring them. The freedom to hire a merc in a tavern for example was great. The inventory on this was also god-tier and gets too much praise for being a worse version of this.
Never seen someone on here discuss the gameplay of this series, let alone the monster designs and cool aesthetics.
Rarely even see anyone horny for the Pixies.
how is dungeon siege obscure?
Loved the film back in the day. Popular media would be a game with no questions asked!
Was this like Destruction Derby or that mad bastard early PS1 game I cannot think of?
Bought this sucker from a shady native at a flee market for C64 back when i was a tiny kid. He told my mom that he actually made the game himself. Me and my mom used to try to figure it out because we used to play Castles of Doctor Creep and liked puzzely games, but we are brainlets so we never really figured it out. But what we did discover is, if you plug a controller into the second player port, you can glitch the game and levitate and phase through walls. We called this trick "traveling".
Dude Dungeon Siege was not obscure in the early 2000s.
Never seen anybody discuss it on here whatsoever, so would welcome it if you have anything to offer
Appreciated, maybe I should have just started a thread for the game! Whenever I have mentioned it previously I've had 0 replies, so assumed it was not very popular around these parts.
Played the first one, dont remember much about it. Me and my little brother really liked Tecmo's Deception though. There's another obscure gem for you too.
I even watched the Uwe Boll movie.
The soundtrack is a legit masterpiece, might be better or at least on the same level as Morrowind
I played dungeon siege a lot. It was published by microsoft at the time of Age of Empires. It's not obscure, user.
That game is not obscure. You're just a zoomer.
>Blunt insults without basis are not welcome
kys, nigger faggot. go suck your mom's tits instead of posting in here. NO SAFESPACE IN HERE.
How is it helpful to argue about the base topic? Either discuss your experience of it, or a different "obscure game" (after all... it is subjective).
Rest in peace, GPG.
We'll never get another good Dungeon Siege or Supreme Commander game.
Tom Hanks non-privileged person
Loved Deception.
Oddly enough, Monster Rancher 1 is (debatably) the worst in the series.
2 and 4 are the best, followed by DS/GBA/3, followed by "EVO" and 1.
In that case it's not subjective either. The game objectively sold millions (it was one of the most sold games in america for that particular year) and it's still a well known game. It's like saying Age of Empires is an obscure game.
Oh wait, putting Deception as a disc into Monster Rancher 1 gave you a special monster that was a reference to the game. Forgot about that for a moment.
Sissy Spacek tranny wanna-be.
Yet you still pass the point. Ok, maybe objectively it did sell well, but I never see it discussed so would like to know what you all thought of it. Likewise, any other games that never get discussed on here.
White here, again, great contribution. good on-topic posts so far. It is a wonder why this board is so shit now...
>Never seen anybody discuss it on here
yes because this is Zig Forums the only things posted here are temper tantrums about AAA games, thinly veiled coomer threads, and shitpost
I would consider pic related obscure
That game is often discussed in here, dude.
I liked Dungeon Siege but it wasn't very good. Skills and stats end up leveling so slowly that I'd always be wearing outdated gear and using lower level spells, and shit in the shops had a tendency to cost more gold than had.
you got owned and now you come with this patehtic drivel? kys
I brought Dungeon Siege after having played BG2 and I couldn't bring myself to even bother with it. In the days of Diablo it would have been fine, but after going through an RPG that had your party members feel like actual characters, Dungeon Siege felt like such a step down it just completely lost my interest.
I think I got to about the second or third zone, put it down and never picked it back up.
OP here. Sadly I am starting to believe this is true. I am finding it increasingly hard to discuss any game this board without animosity.
yeah. I remember people saying despite it's outstanding 3d graphics and engine it was a poor-man's baldur's gate. And I also remember people saying it was a magnificent diablo clone.
Laughable.
