See, I never understand why people say this when I mention ARMS 2. You think ARMS fans would be more upset that a certain character was in Smash rather than excited that the game they like is getting a sequel?

Unless they actually go through the effort of making echo fighters with unique abilities, animations, hitboxes, etc. all for a single 'fighter' from a relatively unpopular game, it will/would fucking suck.

i actually am all for springman being playable just because it bothers the shit out of me when the mascot character isn’t the actual character. The reason is just that it makes much more sense to have the main fighter be the representative of the series and also show off what makes their games so different, having shit like min min or twintelle and their gimmicks collide with what arms is already trying to give, which would just lose more focus on what arms means
