What's your GOTY so far, Zig Forums? I feel like this year has been pretty slow for vidya, especially compared to the past few ones.

What games have even come out this year? This hasn't just been a slow year, it's been the worst year in decades. The only game I can name from 2020 is fucking Animal Crossing and it's a sad state of affairs when that's goty.

Alyx. The only exciting thing left to see if Snoy will pay a fortune to have their gay sex simulator win instead.

The Last of Us 2
Best sounding and looking game ive played all year, maybe of all time. The story isn't very good so far (I am 9 hours in) but I'm invested, and it's definitely thrilling and keeping me playing.

I fucking hate glory kills and nothing anyone says will be able to convince me they were a good idea or implemented well.

That's a tough one.
Animal Crossing's cozy and fun even if it's not to my tastes, Doom Eternal was super fucking good minus the shit final boss, HL Alyx was glorious for what it was if a little short. I'm still holding out hope for Cyberpunk but the delays aren't doing much for my confidence.

As things stand it's most likely Bannerlord though, I did literally nothing but play it for days on end when it released. Jank shit that it is, it's still fucking amazing.

No they're fucking not. The level design is garbage and there's nowhere near enough ammo placed around. The ammo limit in and of itself is fucking pitiful. Oh boy. A whopping 24 shotgun shells (after upgrade.) Who could want more? It hits you on both ends since enemies both require more ammo to kill and do not drop ammo on death. And they made it even fucking worse by making the chainsaw a mandatory ammo dispenser. I dare you to try going through the game without performing a single glory kill.

Anyone who says "they're optional!" is a fucking retard.
