UhhhhHHHHGG CRT GOOD LOL

Did you even look at the image mate?

LG C9 and the Samsung Q90/Q90R

OLEDs are not for personal use. Do not buy them for your home unless you got money to burn.

LMAO UR OLED CANT COMPARE TO SUPERIOR BLACK LIGBT LEVELS AND CURVATURE OF CRTS LMAOING@URLIFE
im just getting this stupid argument out of the way, pay me no heed

any TV that supports real 120hz+ since the new consoles support 120fps.

>OLED displays used in cell phones
>not for personal use

Will I receive downsampled antialising on ps5 if I play on a 1080o tv?

Samsung Q90/Q90R

> OLED
Belongs in the trash. Which is where it will end up in a few years anyway after it's burned in like an old arcade CRT.
Yes. Buying an OLED phone is a major mistake. I bought one a few years back and by the time I replaced it the top inch of the screen was covered in all kinds of icons, logos, and navbars all burned in on top of each other. Last time I ever buy a device that uses this joke of a technology.

just make sure its 4k hdr. looks really great

If you’re getting the q9 you’re stupid as shit. Give it 2 years to work out the initial bugs. They JUST got the q6 running as it should.

Just because a company makes consumers fall for the OLED hype means it's a smart purchase for yourself. OLED looks amazing, but don't expect them to have longevity. They crap out in a few years because the organic parts of it rot after awhile.

> organic
I knew that the o stood for organic, but it just clicked that that means it's made of living things. What are they killing to make these things. It's just plants or something... right?

Is this bait?

Is OLED a meme for TVs? I'm kinda hesitant to drop 3k on a fucking TV that I'll only use for console gaming.

Many TVs support fake 120fps, just like the PS4 supports fake 4k

What do you think they do with all of the foreskins?

I assumed that's what those round jewish hats were made of

No. OLED "burn in" is a meme. OLED has the best image quality and colors.

OLED burn in is not a meme. It's a very common risk with that tech. And it is luxury tech by every means. Unless you baby it, it won't last long. It's like investing into sound cancelling earphones. You have to treat it like it's important as hell.

"Burn in" is a case of extreme damage that does not occur with normal use. What most people refer to as burn in is actually image retention which lasts for no more than a few minutes and is also uncommon.

...

Playing video games with OLED typically increases that risk because games have stationary elements like HUDs and other shit that may stay on the screen for a long ass time.
And when it comes to Zig Forums I wouldn't trust most of this place to not play the same game hours a day.

Any oled tv with real 120hz refresh rate.

> t. never actually owned one over an extended period of time.
Burn in is very real and very permanent. And it's even worse than on CRTs. My family had a CRT from the time I was born until we got rid of it a few years back and it NEVER got any sort of burn in while my OLED phone started getting it by the end of the first year.

OLED is super situational. It's best used for movies and TV. Images that move way more frequently. On phone, computers and for playing games it's 100% a larger risk. OLED is amazing, but the Vita had an OLED screen and you can rarely find a used one that doesn't have some rotted out spots.

Lol. I used an OLED phone for 5 years and never had any "burn in"

haha gaming on TV good joke

Computer screen is all you need

>What are some Zig Forums approved gaming TVs?
Any good CRT, but especially the Sony Trinitron line.

Can confirm. I have an LG C8 and is amazing.

>OLED
Have a C6 and it's fucking glorious even without the lower input latency and variable refresh rate support that new models have. Been running it daily since 2016 no burn in issues. A bit sad cause I bought the warranty... couple months left for it to go out so I can get a newer model lel.

Other than that just take a trip over to display lag and check for the size you want that supports some form of ARR, has low input latency (sub 15ms), 1ms gtg but most models should have that anyways. The thing you will spend big on is what type of lighting array you're buying. Edge-lit are cheap but you'll have washed out colors and light bleed, brightness will be 400-600nits at best. This is still probably better than most people have for a monitor so it's not a game breaker, but dem zone lit arrays are expensive and so is OLED.
