>When they were first making Persona 4, the developers intended for either Nanako or Yukiko to be the killer instead of Adachi >They changed it instead of using Nanako because it would've been too dark and thought gamers would've hated this twist >They changed it instead of using Yukiko because they thought it would be too heavy and emotional for the gamer.
>They changed it instead of using Yukiko because they thought it would be too heavy and emotional for the gamer It would've been the first time Yukiko evoked any amount of emotion in anyone though.
Cameron Turner
yeah nanako being the killer would be just... too dark for gamers...
Robert Cooper
sounds kino
Jack Gomez
sounds stupid
Sebastian Wright
It wasn't Nanako it was Dojima.
Jayden Turner
Women are incapable of murder or evil so I understand the change.
Easton Turner
Wasn't it actually supposed to be Dojima in the original?
Ryan Sanders
Imagine actually believing persona 4 has girls that are better than sumire!!! AHAHAHAHA LOSERS!!!
Atlas always has these great ideas and instead ship out something lame instead.
Like for P5 I heard originally you were supposed to live with Makoto and Sae, but they changed that.
Jacob Stewart
>they intended the killer to be a goddamn toddler cool story bro
Ethan Gonzalez
The first draft was that Nanako was mind controlling Dojima, and that his entire existence was just an elaborate fabrication.
Isaiah Hughes
Hashino is a pussy who bends to the desires of Persona's perceived demographics.
Eli Carter
Honestly kino
Landon Cooper
u wot
Jeremiah Williams
Nanako wouldn't work because she's a tiny motherfucker and Personas don't work in the real world. That being said, Yukiko could've been interesting if her relationship with the protagonist influenced things.
>Personas don't work in the real world Didn't they retcon this? Wasn't Maruki technically using his persona in the real world and altering reality?
Sebastian Price
I swear to god I've heard like 4 different characters were intended to be the villain instead of Adachi. I hope Atlus just comes out one day and says who they intended to be at first.
Ian Howard
>Personas don't work in the real world Yes they do lol If it were an SMT situation where IRL Japan is fucked, then these Persona kids would be able to use their Personas and negotiate with Demons.
Matthew Long
>it would be too heavy and emotional for the gamer. holy shit that korean roasting of japan not knowing concepts like love was true all along
Maruki's Persona was so powerful it was practically a God. But yeah Personas can be used in the real world. Maruki used his by accident though.
Nathaniel Mitchell
Didn’t they work in persona 3 atleast? You use a evoker to kill ryoji before the dark hour.
Leo Gray
Post it
Lincoln Kelly
Maruki's worked in the real world but iirc they hand waved the issue away by saying it was because he had an extremely extremely powerful Persona or something like that. I think Atlus kind of flip flops on it but usually leans towards no.
Zachary Lewis
I wouldn't know. I never got around to 5 so I'm not going to pretend I know in that field. Demons showing up changes the rules. That's not just Nocturne. Demons materializing IRL fundamentally changes the laws of physics.
James Morris
Yukiko is the best girl though
Dominic Nguyen
>I never got around to 5 so I'm not going to pretend I know in that field. Wow, you don't see that often.
Jordan White
Personas not working in the real world has always been my biggest gripe with the recent games. Takes away so many plot angles.
