I like dogs.
its the best complete package, but the first couple hours of Indigo Prophecy still havent been topped.
You wouldn't fuck a robot right Zig Forums?
it's shit
Kara and Alice a cute
I haven't played the game but the soundtrack is top notch.
It's a great pleb filter. If you hated Kara sections, you got filtered.
It's the only unironic good game cage has made and idk what happened or changed for this to happen
>Kill the girl robot and bald robot immediately
>Play the rest of the game as Connor
It is now based.
The general plot isn't amazing, but he actually made a character that people care about for the first time.
I’m gonna but this and heavy rain when I get back to my computer. Already beat Detroit on PS4 but I want to go for a different kind of run than a “perfect” one like I somehow managed to land that time. Very hyped to play heavy rain for the first time. I kind of ignored it when it released
If the robots looked like this, the plot wouldn't have happened. Nobody would care enough to even entertain giving them rights. So it's just another lame, hamhanded "BUT TOASTERS ARE PEOPLE TOO!" message.
>didnt play bald dude as robot nazi who wants to kill all humans
Based. It was really fucking good
is it worth buying right now?
That's right, I didn't. Fuck scrapheads.
Has anyone here ever played Omikron? I watched my older brother play it when I was a kid and i found it so strange
You're right, I wouldn't hesitate letting them die. But I would still develop an emotional connection with them.
/m/ here. i'd still care.
i unironically would care more about dumb looking robots with souls than human lookalike androids
Playing Detroit first and then going backwards through Cage's previous games really shows how his worse writing qualities were tempered for it. It's still as subtle as a brick to the face, but Detroit actually feels coherent and resonant in a way I couldn't get from the other games.
I will say I appreciate how he really does give you the ability to tailor story to how you play. Every other dev seems to lie about it, but he does it fairly true
If he released a DLC with like 5 extra cases to solve as Connor, where you could kill Connor multiple times if thats what it took to solve the case, it would've been kino.
I've seen people dislike the twist, but the Alice reveal actually worked on me as Cage intended, and I did not care for her as much afterwards. Which then made me feel like an asshole.
I stayed put when the guy told me to and Kara died in the first hour of the game lol
the real twist is that it's not a twist, if you actually paid attention the game implies like 100 times that Alice is a bot, only Kara doesn't realize that, if you didn't realize that before her you are a fucking NPC
just started yesterday.man the PC version is unoptimized as shit, but im liking it so far.
i have played the first act awhile ago, although i put it down during the second act. its a really good first act though. the first thing you should know is that the combat is awful, like its an afterthought in development, and it might as well be because in comparison the adventure elements are way more intuitive. the game even logs various clues to puzzles for you instead of having to jot them down, which is cool. as for the story, its a spiritual predecessor to indigo prophecy in that its batshit insane. but instead of the insanity proceeding after a really good opening, it throws you into weird shit instantly. this transforms the game from cage bullshit to god-like french shitposting. prepare for fourth wall breaks and visiting the French's magical realm of fetishism. this along with the atmosphere and art style makes it worth playing. QD brought in artists who worked on POD Gold, and you can tell, since it has that same sort of industrial aesthetic to everything. its depressing looking, and you can make the case for it having a monotonous color palette, but its all very immersive. that said, the reason why i put the game down during the second act is that the first act is a really good murder mystery, while the second is you becoming the errand boy for a resistance movement. it isnt much of a spoiler as the intro already hinted that there will be a change in focus of the plot, but still, its a downgrade. as it is though, i'd recommend it, but that could change depending on how the later acts go. after all, the third act i heard has some truly awful puzzles.
I'm surprised to see most people went for the peaceful option for Marcus. The war part was kino as fuck
if i do make the recommendation though, only the dreamcast version emulated. the PC version technically has better graphics and audio, but the trade-off is a lack of stability. there's even a really bad bug where somehow a hitbox for a hazard got misaligned, meaning at one point you could just die instantly not knowing what happened. with the dreamcast version you have less hub music (which is great, unlike the mediocre to awful combat music: youtube.com
The males are cuter.
What the fuck have androids ever done to you! Stop oppressing us you utter bellend.
I think I need to reinstall and go for a bastard playthrough. I went all nicey nicey the first time. I want to see war criminal Marcus vs Blade Runner Connor.
