How could you go wrong? It's the best two things, opera and gaming

reminder that the original Opera team got replaced by chinks
the og guys are working on Vivaldi now

>Is it worth to try?
It's free why don't you just try?

>Opera
>best
I would have agreed with you before 2013 but after that hell no.

reading the marketing spiel and... i mean... it's not at pathetic as i thought (minus the fucking browser sound effects).

but why not just close your browser

Why is every piece of software now LITERAL chinese spyware?

Use Pi-hole.

Redpill me on both things. Especially Vivaldi.

Vivaldi's basically just a hyper customizable chrome fork with minimal extra features. Not much to it but imo it's the best "chrome"-like browser by far.

>steals you data, and profiles you.
>is just a chrome reskin so now the chinks and google both get your shit.
vivaldi is just a chrome reskin that mean googles gets your data aka google spyware+ 3rd party party spyware for who ever vivaldi is selling too.

So what would you recommend? One of those open source browsers or something?

They're buying literally everything as a form of soft power, not hard to understand. Those pork plants that asked Trump for help staying open were shipping meat directly to China, btw. Dozens of americans died keeping it open.

waterfox

I use Vivaldi, but every time I open it, it needs updating.

What should I be using?

brave

Pale Moon + ad blockers + NoScript + Pi-hole

Firefox.

yeah yeah, that's fine and all but how much memory does it hog?

It's nice they're making a browser that's at least somewhat conscious of the amount of resources it uses with the ram/cpu limiter, and the video popout + workspaces seems cool.
I'm not downloading Opera just for some extra cool shit though. Especially with the extra useless integration features they've added.

What is so gaming about it? Toolbars with adware for the latest AAA releases? Fuck you

waterfox was purchased by system1

I have been using it for a long time.
Pretty good browser but i hate when it doesn't recover lost tabs when it crashes

There are many levels user
>firefox
think the addons page goes through google.
There a hardened version of firefox.
the is seamonkey which is legacy firefox using old engine.
there is waterfox, and palemoon which are forks of old firefox that can be dodgy cause of retarded shit like
>we won't support this security addons cause their belief.
there austismo tier firefox

basically you left with firefox flavor or some very specialized browser that are mostly linux only.
like ice cat probably the most secure.

currently at 1.1gb with 12 tabs, ublock origin and tampermonkey + Zig Forums x
i mean at its heart it's the chrome engine so performance and shiz gonna be similar but the only other option is gecko
which is usually fine it's really just personal preference

Are there any firefox addons that let me do the shit you can with the gx control sidebar in this?

Please don't fall for this. Even Microsoft Edge is better than this shit.

So, uh, you play flash games with it?
Browse Newgrounds?

um why would you need to limit your browser's network? oh wait it is chrome based so it must phone home, but that like nothing that would affect band which unless you third world.
The rest seems like a meme that a tab suspender would accomplish.

can you explain pls

ublock blocks ads nigger, so less crap is loaded on your webpage thus resources are saved.
umatrix is better than noscript, and it blocks randoms background scripts that websites run that are also bloat..Though this makes it a pain to navigate sites, cause you gotta configure per site to block scripts that are needed for actual site vs extra spyware analytic crap. Pi-hole is a redundant ad blocker, that runs as dns server on hardware, so when you look up a site, it goes through pi hole and the ip is check to see if leads to ads.

No. You have to do your own research on the shit you need to block and how to do it.

I use Vivaldi, but it seems to never update on its own and I have to do it manually.
I miss old Opera bros.

Okay
Sorry im not that good at computers

Is there a VPN provider that lets you use your own DNS? Such that you could specify pi-hole as your DNS while on the VPN, then specify the pi-hole's upstream to the VPN's DNS?
