I played XC2 and that shit had 14 hours of mostly boring ass fucking cutscenes. They need to reduce that shit to like 4 hours tops. Im buying a video GAME not a fucking cinimatic experience. Video games are so fucking gay now. This is why I just play shit like Tetris or fighting games now.

Well since video games are starting to become popular and more mainstream I think it will get worse. They will become more like movies than actual games because the “normies” are going to be the ones that create them. You can already see this happening with almost every video game being released now compared to up to around 2006.

Kojima cutscenes are well made in terms of style (bad writing but not abysmal) and feel like a reward for the gameplay, they're not the main goal.
Cutscenes can be good, they can let you breath between intense moments of playing and engage you.

It's a failure on the game developer's part if your game character is doing something for ten hours in cutscenes. At that point you need to be considering what game mechanics could allow the player to do it. Is it ten hours of talking? Talking without any sort of meaningful options? Then you shouldn't be making a video game. You should be using some other form of media.

Hell I don't even care anymore if shit isn't pre-rendered, at least when it was pre-rendered it was fucking gorgeous enough that I felt rewarded from cutscenes, now people inject it every few steps like it was good or required work
