It's really the only place on the internet that allows people to honestly speak their minds without having to worry about getting muted or banned. Sometimes there's a post that shows me some obscure game I wouldn't otherwise have known about.

Mostly it's just shitposting and bait, but in terms of content that's about equivalent quality-wise to somewhere like plebbit or one of the ridiculously left-wing gaming forums like resetera. The only difference is that people here shitpost and bait instead of acting offended about stuff or virtue signalling how not racist or not sexist they are.
