Ok here's what's pissing me off about this remake. The devs said there is no canon choice as to which girl Cloud ends up with. But its pretty obvious Tifa is the favorite. Its actually not just this remake, Advent Children and Crisis Core added to this. I've basically accepted that Aerith is just the Christ/Martyr plot device to them.
Crisis core built up Zack and Aerith's relationship.
In Advent Children Zack and Aerith are together in the afterlife. Aerith could be with anyone there I suppose, her mother for example..but its Zack.
Then this very one sided remake.
So there's the flower Aerith gives to Cloud. You give it to Tifa with no choice. In the original you could give it to Marlene if you weren't into Tifa.
Then the scene where Aerith rescues Marlene and sees the flower in the vase behind Tifa's bar, they purposefully put that shot of her taking pause in seeing that. Pretty blatant.
Then even if you favor Aerith and spend more time with her doing quests the scene you're rewarded with for that consists of her telling you not to fall in love with her because its "not real." Compare that with the emotional embrace you get with Tifa if you did her quests instead.
Oh and that almost kiss scene when Could and Tifa jump from the train.
How am I supposed to pretend that Tifa is not the canon choice? This sucks even harder now because her remake character is so god damn adorable and there's even a chance that she'll fucking live this time and yet its all but certain she won't be the choice. They may as well have Aerith watch Cloud and Tifa fuck under the Highwind.
Take a wild guess as to why Zack is alive now. Go ahead.

Aerith first of all doesnt have to be with cloud or be in a love triangle to shine. What OP is trying so heavily to proof is that shes either with cloud or shes nothing. Complete lie.
Aerith has her own subplot in part 1, has tons of unique interactions with cloud, a lot of attention, and even after all those scenes with tifa, still isnt clear from the beginning on whats gonna happen with aerith, cloud and tifa love triangle. Whispers are gone, Aerith doesnt want to follow the planet's plan and stuff can change. Considering Aerith also lives by the moment the most and acts very innocent and curious around people and cloud, her character is like BEGGING to drop her ancient facade and have a weak emotional moment with cloud, since in the compilation it has already been said that zack is in the past and now she wants to meet cloud.
If the remake was exactly like the original, what do you get? >fuck this devs, they are not trying to hide that tifa and cloud will end up together and that aerith will die
Remake makes changes and tries to add interactions between the characters >wtf why is this different?

Either way, i feel like you were not gonna be happy until you see aerith kiss or fuck cloud in front of tifa.
