When I get a hankering for it, I usually reinstall BFBC2 or BF1, play it for a week and then uninstall it. Any decent BF game will retain a small player base.

4 is the best and still active

Just play 4 and BFBC2. bf3 is still alive if you're into that.

I still play bfbc2 on PC atleast once a week. There's a decent amohnt of active servers, my favorite being a hard-core server with 32 players

No. BF1 still has a player base because V shit the bed. V is dwindling and probably will die before BFBC2/BF3/BF4/BF1.

BF1 is alive enough to populate 64 player servers. Problem is EA does nothing about the hackers and the game can be unbalanced as fuck even without them

Faction locked weapons is cringe, but yeah German elites on the Japanese side and vice versa is the main thing that takes me out what little atmosphere there is in the game
