The quality is shit and has been shit since the first game, but despite that the formula works and is fun to play. Pokémon turning around with shit animations is terrible production quality but it's funny as fuck and seeing gigantic pokémon pop out of nowhere makes me fall from ny chair pissig myself out of laughter

I can, I don't care about the main story I care about the pvp. I genuinely enjoy Pokemon's competitive scene. I know Zig Forums doesn't understand what that's like because they don't play games but for me I love it.

Game Freak has zero reason for trying to make a good pokemon game especially when did tried to and they got shat on for doing so. Pokefags deserve all the shits they get

The basic formula of the game is fun and Gamefreak has never messed that up (unlike Sega with Sonic). It's just kind of stale to long time fans.

The Pokemon brand name overshadows anything else, and all competition is seen as rip-offs, essentially giving Gamefreak exclusive control of this entire game style.

This. Gen 5 is a polarizing set off games but it’s undeniably the last time Gamefreak were passionate about the series. Normalfags hated it. Normalfags won.
