TES6:Hammerfell and Todd Controversy

With TES6 being basically confirmed for Hammerfell, I'm looking for confirmation on something Todd supposedly said regarding the Redguards. Basically, is it true that the reason for why the Redguards are the only human race that doesn't borrow from their real world counterpart race for their base cultural design is because Todd said West Africa didn't have a major medieval history to contribute to the TES world so he/writers had to transplant other medieval cultures onto the Black people of Tamerial to define them(Medieval Arab/Feudal Japan)? Anyway, I know Todd is based but even this sounds extreme for him to say, but who knows, maybe he did say that?

This is what I think as well. I imagine TES6 will be a spiritual successor to Daggerfall in a lot of ways, so it makes sense.

Kirkbride was just a white cuck with a bbc fetish, his interpretation of the Redguards were retcons. Skyrim/ESO take on the Redguards is more true to how they were depicted in Arena and Daggerfall.

Also, while idk of any source of Todd saying that, he wouldn't be incorrect if he did. Redguards are mostly based off Semetic/Islamic cultures. Their pantheon is a mix of Carthaginian and Ancient Egyptian. The initial intent of the Redguards appearance was to capture a dark and exotic people to contrast with the europeanish cultures(common trope in fantasy that started with Tolkien). It wasn't until Kirkbride came along that Redguards started to look more like sub-Saharan africans(TES:Redguard and TES:Battlespire), because that's how he wanted to interpret them.

Considering that Oblivion has one of the most redpilled dialogues, it's not that far off but Pete Hines will ruin it anyways.

Redguards are just a mix of Moors with Aboriginals. They practice dream walking and fight with curved swords. Like all other races they have real world sources they are cribbed from.
