Holy shit you are all obtuse. I loved the first installment and decided to go half and half with a bud and play the second game with him: damn you are all weird. The game is fantastic; I have played for 10 hours so far with no issue. The game play, graphics, story, and sound design are all top notch. There is literally nothing wrong with anything I have seen so far. I don't care if it has some hidden agenda or didn't meet your failed fan fiction ideas, its a fantastic installment to an already fantastic game.

Y’all seem too forget what an actual game is. It’s a GAME. Sorry it didn’t fit the exact narrative you wanted, but that still doesn’t matter, the story could be a 0/10 pile of shit, like all the characters held hands at the end and it turned out to all be a dream kind of shit, at the end of the day it is still a video game
Like I said, Game play? Check . Absolutely fantastic, I’ve only had one problem where a Clicker glitched and killed me, out of all the encounters I have had, and it has filler issues with some fetch problems and puzzles , so let’s say 8/10
Sound design? Beautiful.
Every hit, break, creak and gunshot is perfectly replicated, and the score is beautiful and fitting of every moment so 9/10
Graphics? Oh boy it had plenty. Only comparable games would be God of War and Red Dead Redemption 2. Only issue I have had is some lighting highlights an object for no reason, but this has been very rare. So 9/10
At the end of the day, it’s a fun, fluid and entertaining game. You can shit on the story all you want, at MOST that would drop it to like a 7-8 / 10
