So in the end, should Joel have let them crack open her skull to try and make a cure?
So in the end, should Joel have let them crack open her skull to try and make a cure?
It would've saved his life.
Isn’t it implied that the odds of them getting any ‘cure’ from her were entirely remote, and it was essentially a hail-mary kinda move?
He should have made her pregnant.
Yeah the scientist logs near the end talk about how everyone isn't being realistic about the odds.
cuckmann shoulda let ellie decide, or at least had two scenarios;
1. scenario A you play the game as we know it, from joel's perspective, all the way until they reach the hospital
2. scenario B you play as ellie from the point of her childhood up until the pivotal moment in the hospital
3. final scenario becomes available after you play both and it is there you get to choose which character to side with based on the choices you've made along the way
do you think cuckmann gives a shit about player choice? nah. do you think he cares more about "making" you feel something that you probably won't feel? yeah of course. is the game better this way? it's really a matter of preference I guess but I'll tell you one thing; cuckmann can't write for shit.
In hindsight, yes. But not because it could have led to a cure, it's because it would have killed Ellie.
based
The group that killed him were not even the same group in the last game.
Spoilers! But fuck you it's shit.
But that's daughterfu Ellie
And she would have died as a daughter and stayed perfect forever.
never played this game but i always assumed the dude was filling the teenager with gallons of cum. why else would he have saved her?
What is one person for the chance to maybe end this compared to all the people Joel killed?
Yes.
>give your life to science, dying with a glimmer of hope that maybe you've saved the world
or
>live to see your father figure murdered right in front of you
>your girlfriend beaten half to death
>yourself beaten half to death a million times
>your girlfriend gets pregnant with someone else's kid and leaves you
>you have your fingers chewed off so you can't play guitar
Hmm... really gets the noggin' joggin'. Hard choice.
100%
He should've had sex with her, then let them do that yeah
They shouldn't have even wanted to crack her skull open for a slim chance at a cure, they should have wanted to use her a breeding machine for a chance to pass on the her immunity to the next generation.
The best thing to do is to allow Ellie to make that decision, but only after she takes in everything that is going on. Make sure she understands the implications. If she says no, I don't let them do their surgery. If she says yes, then I allow her to do it, but only if she's 100% sure she wants to go through with this.
Yeah, he should have realized his daughter was already gone and Ellie isn't a replacement.
...
People forget that Ellie wasn't given a choice, she passed out after nearly drowning and they kept her sedated for the surgery.
The point of the ending to the first game is that it was ambiguous. Its true that the scientists might have failed again, but is saving one girl's life worth the risk of possibly dooming the human race? Whether Joel did the right thing or not is up for the player to decide. What makes the sequel shitty is that they gave the doctor you killed some backstory so you would feel bad. Now you're being told how to feel about what Joel did.
i think it's funny how Druckie kind of forgot about this implication.
Yes. Ellie would have died as the savior of humanity instead of ending up alone and a cripple. Objectively, she is now worse off because of him.
yes
All the data logs suggest the fireflies were lying sacks of shit about guaranteeing a cure. They killed tons of kids before her thinking that time was "the" time.
Retconned into making the one random surgeon who Joel killed the messiah and only one to ever got close to a vaccine. How would the fireflies be able to mass produce it? who the fuck cares, cycle of revenge bro!
>Whether Joel did the right thing or not is up for the player to decide
then why aren't we allowed to side with a character in game and choose an outcome on their behalf? instead we're forced into an ending and that just sucks.
considering how shit of a character they made ellie, hell everyone in 2? hell yeah.
Tranny Lebsian of Us Part 2 is a mediocore movie at best. Neil Fuckman tries to enforce his shitty believes on the audience. Is the game fun? Does it convey a message? Even for a """movie """ game it doesn't deliver on its premise. It's average to the core. Joel deserved better nur I'm happy he didn't get butchered like the rest of the cast, character-wise.
Except she had no fucking choice in the matter retard, the fireflies never once told her she would die from it, pretty sure she expected to live after the procedure. If she and Joel were told how things were and she still decided to go with it, then Joel wouldn't have gone Rambo on them.
breeding age women sure get killed off easy in this apocalypse
