>Is fun, has good music and characters

True. It's just funny the similarity yet gap in quality.
Favorite song?

I would have to go with
Blizzard or She Ate Burning Coal
What about you?

Sexualizer

Run

Tbh, I like most of Beard's themes but The Way Home just sounds too crusty for it's own good

Rust always managed to hit me in the feels.
I wish I could forget all about the game and replay it, it was too fucking good.

Hard to pick a single favorite but perturbator songs are a safe choice

Roller Mobster and Le Perv, made my skin crawl and feel like a murderer

Future Club.

Funniest thing is there's a hotline miami Easter egg in TLOU2
So the devs have to be aware of the similar themes

Remorse.

>gets head bashed in with golf club
>becomes protagonist in the second half

How does that even work anyway. The game is set in post-2013 and HM was just an indie game for the pc at that point, let alone on the vita.

Check out Carpenter Brut's other stuff, he makes good shit

So whats it mean? he copied everything or something more?

The Henchman was playable for only one level and appeared only twice outside of it.
He was the most kino character. The small yet effective character arc he goes through encapsulates Hotline Miami without anything being drawn out or relying on exposition.

YOU ARE THE BLOOD

Yeah.
1 is better imho.
Soundtrack is better too.
>Deep cover starts playing.

best song in 1 is Miami Disco
as for 2, i can't decide. too many good choices.
shout out to She Meditates for being the best interlude theme though

Already did after playing hotline miami 2 the first time, my most favorite track from him would be Turbo Killer and Division Ruin. Too bad they are not in the game

The secret is not being a shit game

In my mind 1 and 2 are basically two halves of one greater game, the first half about Jackets rampage, the second half about how the world reacted to it and why it happened.
Even the difficulty is a natural progression from the end of 1 to the start of 2.

The soundtrack for 2 has the better songs than one but also some songs that are worse. 1's soundtrack is more consistent. However I think 2 is slightly better because of how each scene has its own unique song which adds to the feel of each character and what they are going through at the time. But that means 1's soundtrack is still fitting because Jacket is a murder-machine going through the motions without a care.

Now,i could name an intense trap like Roller Mobster or some others, but instead i'm gonna name a really underrated one

Ms.Minnie

It means Jacket should have swung harder

I love the escalation in that sound. How it starts off goofy and just ramps up.

This song though felt like a much better fit for the Russian Mafia HQ and it sadly only plays once when you first take control of the henchman.

what is it?
people complain about how short the level is, but technoir really is the perfect song to introduce manny

Why'd he do it bros?

I agree with you, specially if you consider the devs thought of 2 firstly as an expasion pack.
Though I disagree, the gameplay itself is so fast and the pacing goes along with it so well, having so many songs playing all the time diminishes the retention of the OST imho.

Because he is based and enjoys killing people

>martin brown
>manny pardo
>pardo is spanish for brown
>manny is a cop and a serial killer
>martin is a serial killer who wears a pig mask
>cops are sometimes called pigs
>martin assaults a police station
>manny dreams about assaulting a police station
>martin is seemingly in the acting business
>manny is obsessed with fame and being a celebrity-cop
>martin's set crew is briefly hallucinated by manny when he investigates the miami mutilator crime scene

First game was better. Second game's reach exceeds its grasp and the story makes the first game retroactively worse.

Hawaii levels blew. The guys who dodge bullets are bullshit.
