And one human cannot excel at everything. The progress of one can be used to the advantage of all, and that same one benefits from the progress of others.

I'm not talking about greed, I'm talking about real life being unfair. Say there's a particularly hard winter and nobody has enough food. They then agree that one person must be sacrificed, as food for the rest, so they can survive. Do you think that person is going to agree with being eaten? Do you think they have the right to exploit and murder that individual for the "greater good"?

Heres another hypothetical, say you planned for winter with your tribe and successfully managed to store enough food as to not starve. because as you know, a tribe can work together and grow their own crops / manage their own livestock. Why should they sacrifice anyone when they're smart enough to prepare on their own? i don't need big brother to help me survive a winter, all i need is my kinsman. thats a tribes purpose.
