>creates the best games for the 2010's decade
>created genre defining games
>is not a pretentious asshole like Kojima and druckmann
how does he do it bros?
Creates the best games for the 2010's decade
passionate about his craft.
treats it as a job.
isn't a mark for himself, doesn't consider himself god's gift to gaming
fpbp
From what I gather he is actually very highly intelligent.
why do here hate kojima?he just made one game that is not great
How is Kojima pretentious?
He just stays quiet.
He just made games he thought would be fun inspired by stuff he thought was cool. He put making a fun game first and foremost.
How is kojima NOT pretentious?
but did he beat Sekiro?
>he just made one game that is not great
The last good game with hackjima's name on it was MGS3
He and Yoshida (director of ffxiv) should work on a game together.
>inspired
you mean 1:1 ripped off
He just wants to make games
4, Peacewalker and 5 were great
He doesnt know how to read
all fromsoftware games are tuned to a difficulty that he can beat, so yeah probably.
>imagine thinking anything is original
>didn't even play video games until he was in college
>didn't even get into the game industry until he was 29
This unironically might have something to do with why he's so good at what he does.
>that guy who pretended to read Berserk so he could fake criticize the most influential videogame series of the 2010s
But has he created the fucking CAMERA? Don't think so, newbie.
Show me the game that Demon's Souls ripped off 1:1?
I'm not saying it invented every system it uses but the closes thing to it beforehand was kings field.
Kojima might be extremely far up his own ass, but he's not an asshole. He doesn't deserve to be lumped together with this fucking Cuckmann.
This
there's a difference between taking inspiration and 1:1 copy pasting designs
Laura Palmer's theme takes inspiration from Pink Floyd. Miyazaki didn't take inspiration from Berserk, he literally copy pasted entire concepts and designs and placed them in a different world pretending it was different.
True, but Miyazaki made the best games of the entire decade and still acts like an indie dev stumbling around in his ideas. He's extremely humble and doesn't let his success get to his head
I want to tell him to shave that stupid patch of fur on his chin, but I wouldn't want to hurt his feelings.
Good point now that I think about it
You don't know that, because interviews with Miyazaki are rare. People thought the exact same of Kojima around the time of MGS3, because interviews with Kojima weren't very common either.
You literally know nothing of Miyazaki's personality, you're simply projecting desirable traits onto him.
also he is the president of fromsoft
he creates amazing games while handling the business side of fromsoft
he is a very amazing man
He makes fucking videogames, that's it. just fucking nice videogames.
He has uncensored anime titties in games to help him relax.
Kojima was making cinematic experiences from the start, Miyazaki makes games
Demon's Souls has a very cool and innovative multiplayer system that allows people to give advice and help and even grief each other. Don't go out of their way to oversell it and let the players discover its usefulness.
Death Stranding uses a similar system. "FOR MY NEXT GAME I'VE INVENTED THE STRAND GENRE JUST LIKE I INVENTED THE CAMERA."
That's how two people can reach the same end goal yet one is pretentious while the other is not.
imagine a BB-type game but with this aesthetic and instead of Eldritch horrors it's super-advanced AIs who discovered ancient elder being knowledge and are out to enslave humanity through machines.
would be absolutely kino. Get to it Miyazaki
He seems like quite a fun guy to be around
His games have already had more of an impact on the gaming industry as a whole than anything Kojima's made though. If he ever was to let fame get to his head, this would be the time. He doesn't milk his franchises for all they're worth before moving on (DS was mandated by a Bamco contract, not his own wishes, and DS3 was phenomenal despite this), and he sticks to his simple game design philosophy instead of trying to subvert and ruse everyone around him (see MGS2, 4, 5 and pretty much everything Kojima's ever made). Besides, this is the social media age, it's easier than ever for anyone to abuse their fame (see Kojima and his pretentious fucking twitter page). Miyazaki stays quiet and does his job. I mean fuck, MGS3 was a good game but it didn't have literally every single dev, indie or otherwise, sucking up its ideas for the following decade like DS1.
Meant to respond to this post
>umbrella
>on a space station of some sort
For what purpose?
Kojima is pretentious, but please don't rank him among the utter trash that is Neil Druckmann
Now what, are you gonna tell me nobody can use orcs?
>He doesn't milk his franchises for all they're worth before moving on
Because he doesn't own them. He doesn't get to milk them even if he wants to. The first IP of the Miyazaki era that FromSoftware owns is Sekiro.
I didn't read the rest, because the impact on the industry has literally nothing to do with my post.
>4
>great
no.
other than that, yeah I agree. pw is pretty good for a portable game and v is above average if you ignore the story and didn’t pay for it full price.
He cares more about what he's doing than the fact that it's he doing it
>Makes the same game for a decade
>Is constantly praised
I just want him to do something fresh. Deracine is the only thing different but that's PSVR so only about 12 people played it.
I'd argue that the impact you make on the industry determines how much bragging rights you have. Miyazaki has more rights to call himself the messiah of gaming more than any other director alive today, and he still acts humble.
>MGS3 was a good game but it didn't have literally every single dev, indie or otherwise, sucking up its ideas for the following decade like DS1.
at the time mgs3 came out indies weren't a thing retard. the games were purely ditacted by big publishers and that was it. you weren't copy pasting some weird auteur's game design no matter how popular it was.
This, And at least Kojimbo try to innovate some new shit unlike cuckman
How is Kojima pretentious? Because he posts what books and music he’s reading and listening to? I don’t know a lot about the guy so I could be out of the loop with something.
>Mario and Princess Beach
He's not as bad as druckmann, but yeah he is a bit pretentious.
>doesn't milk his franchises for all they're worth before moving on
is this some elaborate ruse post? miyazaki has literally been copy pasting the same shit since demons souls
I bought 5 on launch day full price and then again on ps4 for $10. I don't regret either purchase
Name one thing he ripped off from something original. I'll wait.
he isn't, retards just read too much into it. a lot of kojima's interviews come across as pretentious in english but in the original text he's very humble.
I wish he did more video interviews because he is actually a really humble person.
