It's fine if you like Super Meatboy style platformers but it's nothing exceptional. The entire reason it got as much press as it did was the theme of "muh depression" and its garbage tumblr-tier visuals. Decent soundtrack though.

Honest question, do you think that that anxiety doesn't exist pre-transition? Do you think that people don't deliberate for years about who they are and try to make a choice to reflect that after extraordinary agonizing? Do you really just think they decide to transition for keks and then suddenly get all butthurt and sad after the fact? Why do you let some annoying attention seekers on twitter speak for the entire experiences of actual people?

I liked it, felt like they didn't give Theo enough development after the whole crystal section and Oshino was suddenly your friend at the end instead of being a lost spirit.

Really tight controls and fun gameplay, but starts to get a little boring when the levels get longer later on. There's virtually no story, which is nice.

I think that interest groups sell the "transition" meme to sad and lonely people who don't understand why they are so unhappy and who turn towards any possibility of feeling happy and accepted, even if that means mutilating themselves. I don't hate trannies, I pity them. They are being sold a lie that transitioning will be a panacea that fixes all their problems only to realize that there is no cure-all and now they have damaged themselves to the point where they cannot be fully repaired.

The people I do hate are the ones who push tranny shit in order to feel a sense of moral superiority. They are taking advantage of people with real mental issues and then patting themselves on the back for it, it's disgusting. Also people who try to force a child to transition are on the same level as pedophiles in my mind, it is a clear case of child abuse. If a child cannot consent to sex why can they consent to taking mind altering drugs and possibly getting irreversible surgeries? It's disgusting.

Great soundtrack, I think a lot of the areas could have benefitted from being broken up super meat boy style, with new levels opened as you leave the previous ones different ways. There is a puzzle in the game involving some colored lights from a previous area in the jungle zone that is really fucking arbitrary. Like Fez levels of arbitrary. Also, the game hands you cheats on a silver platter that will at some point make you wonder why you are trying so hard. In fact, the inclusion of the cheats when paired with its incredible late game difficulty makes it so that this game that seems to have a message about never giving up and overcoming adversity, is actually about knowing when to give up.

Excellent tbqh. Definitely one of the great indie platformers.

It kept me interested, to the point of beating all the b-sides (minus the core). I still need to collect more crystal hearts, beat the core b-side, and then I'll play the final level before purging it from my pc. The summit b-side was bs nearing plain unfair, and especially since it introduced a whole new movement mechanic at the last second. I'd've preferred to have more practice with it before the game throws you in the deep end. It's fun though.

yeah, it's the best game of its genre, the die a lot jumpy platformer genre.

Its great, levels go on a bit long though and unlocking the final level and Csides is stupid cuz you need to do cryptic puzzles to reach them.

you get a cuckstamp on your profile if you ever use assist mode, but I agree. it shouldn't be in the game and if you used it you should be ashamed
