They've already given themselves an out on Dynamax by specifically stating it only happens in Galar. They'll probably have nothing in Sinnoh remakes.

They could have fewer than 493 total Pokemon in the remakes and I wouldn't be surprised.
Dialga / Palkia's space-time shenanigans will cause dynamaxing to become possible in Sinnoh just before the start of the story. This will be explained by an NPC in a throwaway line early in the game, and conveniently just before the player first gets access to dynamaxing.

DP's HM problem is honestly overblown. Surf, Fly, Strength are solid moves. Waterfall is okay too. Anything else you can stuff on a Bibarel. Defog is about as necessary as Flash.
You'll probably get more ingame use out of most Sinnoh HMs than shit like Whirlpool and Dive. No one would ever use Whirlpool or Dive without another slave.

Fly is absolute ass and a waste of time, Strength sucks too and Waterfall is usually pointless compared to better water moves. Defog not being required doesn't make it less cancer. HMs were a mistake, imagine having to teach shit moves or carry a HM slave in USUM? Good riddance

Sinnohfetus stop coping, wasting limited move slots to pass arbitrary obstacles is the most cancer mechanic in the series and it was at its worst in sinnoh, the series is better off without it.
