game is a solid 7.5, don't really know why everyone's getting so pissy about it
I wholeheartedly agree.
Especially now that all the kickstarter drama has died down, Mighty No. 9 isn't nearly as bad as people made it out to be back then.
You say that because of the countless patches to make it not set your computer on fire.
What happened with mn9 again? Did the creators sister take over or something?
IIRC
>Starts of as Megaman spiritual successor since Capcom had canned every Megaman game after Inafune left
>Early concept looks promising
>People allowed to assist in choosing deigns for Beck IIRC and Call
>Came constantly delayed due to trying to fix bugs
>in game footage release and it looks nothing like the concept and like it's from a gamecube
>Trailer that exclaims stupidly cheese along the lines of "make the buy guys cry like an anime fan on prom night"
>Creator start another kickstarter for a DASH like game before MN9 is even out
>Game finally released and it's mediocre at best
I think people also still haven't gotten some Backer rewards but I don't know.
There was also a TV show planned that was 100% canned after the poor reception and delays

This made me cry like an anime fan on prom night, user
>I think people also still haven't gotten some Backer rewards but I don't know.
I got all my rewards, but I pre-ordered an extra copy for the 3DS back then. Which obviously I never got because the fucking thing never came out.
idk TLOU2 is pretty good.
>I think people also still haven't gotten some Backer rewards
Vita and 3DS versions were promised, but never came out and to this day those don't exist. Vita reward also worked with PS4 if you had that, but other than that, people who chose Vita or 3DS as their platform got fucked. There's been no word on Comcept's part about this, and considering they merged with Level 5, it's unlikely those versions will ever come out.
Also, one of the backer reward tiers included a cardboard box and printed manual to pretend you had a physical edition. However, when Deep Silver stepped in and physical editions were actually possible, those backers still received just a cardboard box and a printed manual. Not to mention, for those who chose the famicom style box, the manual didn't even fit inside the box. A similar situation happened with people who got the digital OST reward: the OST they gave had a few tracks missing from the regular bgms and one didn't even finish looping once, the 8-bit soundtrack was missing several tracks, and the mp3 version of both OSTs had no tags in their files. Comcept only replied that the digital version of the OST was just a "selection" and not the full thing, but this wasn't mentioned anywhere in the backer rewards list.

Not enough for a (You)
the difference between paid and not paid
I wanna argue some of the things like the OST and manual, are poor production in house and maybe some communication issue, maybe poor budget planning as well.
Though a lot of the problems should have been given notice.
Something like the Vita and 3DS version should have been given a huge notice or given a different selection.
I can understand if they didn't wanna put the game on the 2 systems because they felt like they were near the end of their life, the vita more than the 3DS especially, but it still something that need to be voiced out to the people who wanted to help support the release of it if so.
Honestly the fact Level 5 hasn't tried to fix any remaining problems probably says a lot about the whole fiasco. Like they know at this point it's a lost cause.
Do feel sorry for the people who didn't get the rewards they wanted.
I wonder if these guys actually got their dinner.
Mighty No. 9 was a decent mega man game, the anti-hype from the sjw being involved is what killed it.
meant for
Wouldn't be surprised if they just grabbed food from a fast food place
Weebs seethed because the game made fun of them. It was actually a pretty good game. Solid 7/10, nothing to seethe about
It's amazing how much bad PR can ruin a game. People are still dickriding Bloodstained and that game really isn't in any way better than MightyNo9. Shit 3D graphics, no original ideas, inferior to the franchise that inspired it, all checks out. But it had good PR so people love it
Redpilled
$10k and nothing is paid for besides the literal food, fucking lel who would actually spend that much money
And I used to defend that shit too.
Honestly they should have let people who picked Vita/3DS choose another platform, or at the very least give them a Steam code. But since the game's release, Comcept has pretty much been silent about this whole thing.
Have sex
Has anyone done one of these for Daikatana yet.
I'm not an anime fan on prom night, so I can't say.
>inferior to the franchise that inspired it
Not a fair comparison. There's only two Bloodstained games, and at least seven or eight shitty Castlevanias.
>paid reviews
Nah.
We got Mighty Gunvolt Burst out of it so yeah, sure.
96 critics were paid by sony to say this game is good
meanwhile a streamer struggling to get 1k subs shits on the game with all colors of the rainbow, is backed by his viewners and everyone in any social media that still allows for free speech and he will never be known outside some good 10k passive viewners
