Ok yea I just skimmed an outline of the ACL and the gist of it is if a product has a "major defect" it is the responsibility of the retailer to provide refund rather than being assholes and tell you go to straight to the publisher. So basically if you're an aussie all you have to do is prove that TLOU2 is majorly defective and get your bux back.

The fact is that all those 10/10 reviews do affect consumer opinion. There's definitely a LOT of people who all pre-ordered/bought the game after those shills and before the user reviews came out.

picking the worst example of and survival horror game

Gameplay is solid, if you like the first game you'll enjoy the gameplay and exploration in this one. The issue comes with the godawful pacing that the story decides to take. Everything feels so out of place and so backwards. Its such a slog to get through each section since everything is so awfully paced. In the first one, you didn't notice how repetitive and simple the combat was because the story was paced well and you didn't feel like you were hanging on sections for hours on end without anything happening. Hell, the game is about 20 hours long, and if you look at youtube you'll see videos with just cutscenes and/or walking around that are 10 hours long. Put that against the first game where you have max about 4 1/2 hours of cutscenes. This game has double the cutscenes in such a weird fucking pace that it'll end up just making the whole game a slog to go through the gameplay sections and the cutscenes.

tl;dr There is nothing wrong with the gameplay but the story pacing will make you absolutely hate it.

It's not hot garbage really, it's seriously fucking depressing. Nothing good happens at all, Abby is beyond unlikable for reasons other than the way she looks (she's just a bitch, really) and the ending is so unsatisfying. Aside from the dyke shit, I still really like Ellie as a character, Tommy too, but Abby is a fucking slog and there's so many times she is just nothing other than lucky, over and over again. I feel the main aim of the story was to piss you off every time the plot moves forward after start playing as Abby.
