It is. Fanboy and Chum Chum was one of the worst cartoons ever made. It's no wonder Gen Z is so fucked up; they grew up on shit like Fanboy and Chum Chum, The Mighty B, Johnny Test, Back at the Barnyard, The Penguins of Madagascar, iCarly, and Hannah Montana.

i actually didn't mind it, they managed to not go for the absolute blandest plots. They don't go into subversion 3deep5me shit, but it got me by surprise at times.
I wish there were more visual gags taking advantage of the "people are random items" and i thought the two guys characterization was too inconsistent. It changes based on the need of the plot

I think it's a combination of the animators lacking the talent to be faithful to the games or feeling people don't want a cartoon based on 1920s rubber hose animation and need to make it look more "hip", either way it seems to completely miss the point.

Teen Titans, Kim Possible, My Life as a Teenage Robot, Ed Edd n Eddy, and Johnny Bravo were more millennial. Most of Gen Z were too young for those shows when they premiered. They did catch reruns though.
