>no good fighting games >almost no horror games >almost no 2D platformers >plenty of saturday morning cartoon time sink collectathons >almost no puzzle games >no light gun games >more wrestling games than you can shake a trailer park at >almost no RPGs >a handful of mediocre FPS games >almost no arcade style games >no light gun games >almost no 2D shooting games >like 1 beat 'em up (a bad one)
Collectathons and WWE games are all a kid needed to be distracted for months at a time, its harder to make a convincing grand adventure without a huge budget nowadays, the only recent AAA collectathon i can think of is the batman games, and wrestling games are dead, don't listen to the fire pro retards that game is worse than atari wrestling games.

Americans ate it up for some reason it flopped everywhere else on the planet

That's because everyone wanted to copy SM64
Easton Kelly
It was the king of arcade racing. >Cruis'n trilogy >Wave Race 64 >San Fran Rush series >F-Zero X >Diddy Kong Racing >Star Wars Racer >Extreme-G series >Wipeout 64 >Road Rash 64 >Stunt Racer 64 >Rush series >Hydro Thunder >Hot Wheels Turbo >Re-Volt >Vigilante 8 >Mario Kart 64
If you liked wacky racing and didn't own an N64 you missed out.

Matthew Perez
I'd trade all of those for sega rally or r4 without a second thought
Jason Powell
>no good fighting games Tom & Jerry Fists Of Furry
Justin Flores
add AeroGauge to that list
Michael Cox
Missed a few: >Top Gear Overdrive >World Driver Championship >Top Gear Rally >Beetle Adventure Racing >Carmageddon 64
Kayden Hughes
Nah. F-Zero X is better and GX shits over any racing game ever made. It's literally racing perfected.
Owen Foster
Perfectly shit, yes
Cameron Rogers
>no good fighting games There weren't a lot, but "no" is an overstatement. Flying Dragon is fun as fuck.
Adam Reed
>Mortal Kombat Trilogy >Resident Evil 2 >Yoshi's Story it's good actually play it instead of parroting >Conker's Bad Fur Day >I'll give you that one. >That's bad how? >Paper Mario >Perfect Dark >I'll give you that one >You said this already so the original point gets negated >2D shooters are a meme, unless you're referring to run-and-gun games >I'll give you that one since I wasn't even aware the N64 had a beat-em-up
2 points and the rest are lies.
Kayden Peterson
you posted this yesterday, everyone point and laugh at OP.
John Adams
Rare, CAPCOM, and Zelda.
Leo Ramirez
Google the word "almost."
Thomas Gonzalez
I dunno I feel like Resident Evil 2 kinda blows most other horror games at that time out of the water.
Nolan Ross
Silent hill is better
Luke Cox
It's when collectathons were good though. Banjo Kazooie is what made me want the system and between it and Twooie alone I had over 100 hours as a kid just screwing around. >Lots of different racing games Not just carts and carts, we had some great snowboard games (snoboarding kids 2 was my favorite) >Lots of just weird games It's not good, but Space Station Silicon Valley was another huge time sink for me because you could be all these different animals. Paper Mario was a great rpg, Quest 64 isn't as bad as people say- especially knowing the time crunches they got fucked with. Mischief Makers remains the best 2d platformer on the system and one of my favorite games.

Killer Instincts Gold Kirby 64 Doom 64 Turok 2
Go commit toaster in bathtub.
Henry Miller
Fuck no it isn't. It has a better story and atmosphere, but the gameplay and design are weaker in every way.
Xavier Watson
Re1 is also better
James Cox
That it is. I actually think RE1 is the best RE game overall and one of the best games of its generation. Little rough around the edges because of it being Capcom's first 3D game but the pacing is what makes it great. Just the right amount of backtracking, action and puzzle solving.
Liam Williams
nah kid the only racing games that can compare to f-zero are actual racing sims
Brody Watson
Was Killer Instinct Gold actually good? The SNES game gets a lot of praise but there are mixed views on Gold.
Sebastian Moore
They kinda didnt, in many countries Sony dominated the market and it stayed that way. It was just that exotic thing that you see in big shops and look at with curiosity but then you go home and turn on your play station.
Robert Thomas
Gold is good. I'm assuming the mixed reception is mostly down to the disappointment of it being a watered down port when it was an early next gen title for a system that was delayed for a year.
Owen Peterson
>no good fighting games Fighters Destiny and Mace The Dark Ages was the shit fuck you
