Yeah in console sales. That’s it. 98% of people that owned a wii were old people that had wii fit. People bought the wii and never used it. It was a failed console.

It appealed the casuals AND most people owned it along with either a PS3 and 360.

Most people who bought it played it for a year and that was it, done.

The normie thing is a myth, they have always been into gaming and have bought consoles by the millions, but as the hobby has advanced it's opened up more ways for companies to cater for them.

Just noticed recently, people say the Wii was full of shovelware, they are wrong. It was actually mostly PORTs of shovelware games from the PS2.

The Wii still has the best way to play RE4. Why Capcom didn't implement an option to use Playstation Move controllers in all the HD releases and remakes for ps4, I'll never fucking know.

Also, didn't know Bully got a Wii release. Is it good? Is there wagglin?

In some ways it did, in other ways no. The issue with the Wii, was that many people bought the Wii Sports bundle and nothing else. Companies became scared to release software on the Wii because many games simply didn't sell.

Nintendo tried to copy their success with the GB and Tetris, to varying results.

Yes Bully for Wii is good. The graphics are a bit better than the PS2 original. Also yes there are additional class subjects that incorporate waggle.

Literally wii sports, the other 2 were being purchased by gamers, the wii was being purchased by by gamers and every soccer mom on the planet, my grandmother bought one, my mother, all my aunty's, I was working in an electronic store the holiday season it was released and all the women bought them.

It gets funnier, motion controls were so successful that both competitors copied them with the Kinect and PS Move. Both also copied Miis.

Surprisingly, yeah. I could recommend it over the PS1 and honestly the motion controls are well used.

360 Scholarship edition of Bully is the best.

Wii motion controls were an evolution of EyeToy, a PlayStation product.

Wii motion controls are a totally different technology, the closest analogue to the EyeToy would be the Kinect.

It's a similar principle, EyeToy was more primitive but it was definitely and inspiration for Nintendo.

Not really lol. Where's all the big third party games? It has a few gems but overall it's library is almost entirely shovelware

Nintendo wasn't inspired by Eyetoy though. They didn't even develop the Wii technology themselves. The company that designed the Wiimote idea was turned down by both MS and Sony before turning to Nintendo. They worked it into a Metroid Prime 3 GC prototype, enjoyed what they saw, then decided to build the Wii around it

Wii games consistently topped the charts all the way from 2006 to 2012. People used it. Cope.
