Critics never play the entire game.
Critics just see the first 20-30 minutes and close the game down to review it.
Nobody should take critics seriously especially in this age where most reviews are absolutely biased,paid and/or completely out of touch.

Aggregate user scores are always more relevant and tend to highlight issues with the game that might be relevant to people who actually have to pay to play them. It's up to individual users to decide if the problems being discussed are relevant to them or not.

User reviews came out the minute the game released. I'd rather trust someone who played the game a little over someone who didn't play the game at all.

User reviews, especially review bombing is ultimately pointless since anyone can just go on and give it a bad review. I realised that back in 2008 when I saw a review for super Mario galaxy and someone gave it a 5 because "Mario is a dumb fat old man and all he does is jump". I realised any idiot can say anything and theres no point in listening.

It's a bit like walking along a beach and seeing a sand castle and stomping all over it and messing it up, and then calling everyone over to say "look at this sand castle guys! It was like this when I got here, i had nothing to do with it. Look how much it sucks!" That's all it is and it's very transparent. Not sure why anyone looks at obvious review bombed stuff and says this is totally a natural reaction, it's a genuine expression and not at all forced. It's a cheap tactic.

TLOU2 now has more than twice the number of user reviews as TLOU and TLOU remastered combined.

Aggregate Critic Reviews are worthless beyond seeing a vague standing of the game's perceived quality to most people. There's such inconsistency between publications and reviewers in terms of quality on top of a good amount of critics just having shit taste that it's better to find 1-3 reviewers you trust than use that.

User Review aggregates and top-voted/most-helpful commented reviews can be very useful, as they're from a larger sample size and generally of fans of the genre/series that are willing to be honest. This goes away for hot-button games that get bombed with 0s or 10s (any major console exclusive).
