no, skyrim is better in every way

it's unironically just nostalgia, the game is worse in pretty much every way than oblivion and skyrim besides the setting being a little more unique

God of War 2019 is better

It's dated, but it's great.
You didn't even play it, fuck off.

all elder scrolls games are bad but have served the noble purpose of allowing you to identify and avoid mongoloids

for that i am grateful to todd

Don't know how it plays today but i loved it when i was younger. If i remember right you could craft insanely crazy potions and items. Think i found or made a ring that could wipe out entire cities in one use.

Zoom zoom!

It has great atmosphere, world-building, and actually feels rewarding to progress.

inb4 you post a screencap of your other posts from one of the hundreds of these threads you've made.
Fucking schizo.

Still holds up if you don't have that ADD brain rot

it’s a piece of garbage

fuck off, i bought it launch day, played the shit out of it. it's fine, but acting like it's actually better than its successors is stupid

skyrim is the better game

Exploration is goat
soundtrack is goat
some quests are okay, some quests are great, some quests are bad, but the lore is goat.

Last play through was done as a mage. With UL and BUUL, a few other balancing mods, scripted magic mods, being a mage was great. Easily the most OP way to play the game even without alchemy abuse.

On alchemy abuse I like use it in certain instances. Most things will end up nearly one shotting me for the end game so some fast restore potions and gear were required. The potions were ~300pts a second for like 300 seconds and I still died often.

Given that it has flaws Id give it a 11/10

Anyone who doesnt like it just has shit taste.

Played it for the first time in 2019. Liked it but I felt like speed didn't affect enough stuff. Most other attributes at least had wider range of effects but speed was just your running/swimming speed.

It has a pretty fun storyline, it's a bit weirder and has different mechanics. If you liked skyrim, you'll probably like it once you understand hit chances and other slightly more oldschool systems.
I liked it more than Skyrim, and I played it after. Don't know if I like it as much as Oblivion because Oblivion will always have a spot in my heart.

For me? Personally?
>class creation
I'm autistic and like being able to make my own class and have a bunch of different stats to work on and stuff, I also like making a character that's good at certain things, not like skyrim where you just can be good at everything with not a whole ton of effort.
>setting
Vvardenfell is a super unique location with a ton of weird creatures you don't see in typical fantasy settings, from giant floating jellyfish shit, to the bone-armored guards, everything feels really different and original compared to just another forest with bandits in fur amor
>freedom
from the very beginning you can go anywhere, do whatever, kill important plot characters and fuck up entire plotlines, do none of the main story, do literally anything you feel like on that character, it doesn't hold your hand in any way.
>lore
The setting is built on a fuckin libraries worth of books and conversation that explain religious and philosophical points that drive the story and history, and none of it is shoved down your throat, no 40 minute cutscene where Dagoth Ur pontificates about shit, you get to go and find out what you please.
Reasons to not like the game
>combat
not good combat

Skyrim and oblivion are better I don't know why people try to insist otherwise, I don't care much either because it's all but fact at this point.

>soundtrack is goat
forgout about this, the soundtrack is a 10/10 without a doubt.
Also reasons not to play
>reading
if you don't like to read, you're going to fuckin hate this game. Overall it's extremely dated, and even though it's one of my top 3 games of all time, it goes in the category of So Dated It's Painful, and it takes a shitload of love for the game to even try and go back. I don't blame anyone for not getting into it in modern times, you really had to play it at the time it was relatively current.

Also, this was the year I played through GDR. It's been on my bucket list since it was released, believe it or not, and I just got around to installing it.

Pretty fun, Ill probably install it again.

This but I’d still recommend it for anyone who can bare through its flaws

You must hate Oblivion since in that it does even less.
The only noticable effect is fast travel timelapse.

Whoa! There're more posts than ip in this thread guess we can't have a discussion about video games huh what a shame that is.

>You must hate Oblivion since in that it does even less.
Never played Oblivion. Only Skyrim and Morrowind, was thinking of flipping a coin between playing oblivion or Daggerfall next.

just try it and find out for yourself, it has a lot of major problems but you might be willing to overlook them if you can get immersed in the world and enjoy the freedom you are given

Learning taxi routes in Morrowind was tanoshii.

Whatever faggot, why don't you bitch about the first side quest in the game some more?

>argues in bad faith
>SoMeOnE PoStEd MoRe ThAN oNCe!!!!!
Yea right back at you retard.

Nostalgia, really. It's one of those games that the only reason you'd play it again is if you really liked it, since you can do pretty much everything in a single playthrough, and even that starts to feel like a slog after a while since the gameplay becomes so mind-numbingly boring after a while

Amazing world design and magic system
Combat is wonky but you get used to it
Stats and leveling have some problems but overall a good system
Tons of content
Lots of freedom
Interesting lore
Mediocre writing, NPCs feel very lifeless
Main story is meh
Quest design is generally plain and unimaginative
Overall very messy design, no clear distinction between what’s a bug, exploit, or feature
Hard to learn, easy to master; difficulty starts high but plummets by the late game

Overall a good game

Nostalgia.

This is true.

>since you can do pretty much everything in a single playthrough
How do you do all three great house questlines in one playthrough without creating multiple saves before you join any of them?

Why did you expect people not to treat you like a bitch when you act like one?

>>IP count didn't increase
>LET THE SAMEFAGGING BAITPOSTS COMMENCE
Imagine being this much of a sperg.

user, you literally quoted me saying "pretty much", I don't know how much clearer I can put it

>screams becasue people chose to post in a thread more than once
>isn't a bitch
Pick one

There's no point engaging with them user, they've got goldfish memory and will just come back next thread spouting more misinformation.

That’s the exception that proves the rule. You can join most of the factions and complete their questlines with a single character. You can also become a master at every skill without too much trouble.

I mean mods do exist, not only that you can just console command it.

Theres actually a glitch where you can join two of them. Ive never tried it, only have heard of it, and I dont know if it's true

:^)

play, and mod it through oblivion, and make sure you use wyrebash. morroblivion is great.

Mod it obviously

You can do retarded shit like jump all the way across the map because you can cheese all the game mechanics

Great sense of adventure because you have to pay attention to the environment. You get thrown into an unknown land and have to adapt, and by the end it feels like home. Great gameplay progression.

>You can do retarded shit like jump all the way across the map because you can cheese all the game mechanics

You dont need to cheese any mechanics to cast a 300-400pt jump spell. By level 100 in your stats you can do it without issue.
