Justin was lazy and also one thing daigo will never admit, and Justin, up to this day, is being a very good sport not mentioning this at all ever: in order to parry that you need to input forward before it’s released. Yes daigo was waiting for it and even baiting it, he literally mindgamed justinf and yes he got godlike reactions, BUT, the only reason it worked is because they were sitting next to each other, daigo was listening and probably eying at Justin’s input to know when to press forward. At that time, it was fair game because players would always sit next to each other and listen to the opponents input, but it’s something that got eliminated now because obviously it’s cheating.
