In the lore Orcs are naturally good at smithing other cultures's weapons and armor, they're great at stone masonry, and they're naturally good miners. The orcs could easily become the fantasy Dwarf stand-ins for the absent Dwemer if it wasn't for them worshipping Malacrap to the letter. Their tradition is literally the only thing holding them back from becoming a great mountain dwelling society.
