The campaign is OKAY, it's very overrated.

Takes over an hour to get going, wastes your time with insulting and boring tutorials. You have regenerating health as a pilot and you can run past many fights without engaging. The only time wallrunning is necessary, they put alternating sections of walls over a pit, there's no rhyme or reason for it, and it takes no skill. Then they try to make you emotional over a robot getting destroyed, then they say PSYCHE we saved his program, just gonna install it into this titan now

It's a bit better than a generic cod campaign, but not even remotely close to something like FEAR 1.

I've gotten so many Amped Hardpoints that I'm getting really sick of it, but just one match of Bounty Hunt and I remembered why I hate it. Honestly CTF is the best game mode but only when both sides know how to play. Attrition is alright even with unbalanced sides since noobs can feel like they're doing something.

Of course Fear 1 beats Titanfalls SP, one is made for SP and the other is focused on MP and the SP only serves as a tutorial for MP.

This game is the most fun i've had in a multiplayer game in a long time. I regret not playing it when it came out back in 2017.

Your primary damage dealer in most engagements is actually your heat shield interestingly enough.
If you have to spend all of it just to get in, you‘re probably gonna lose unless the enemy titan is retarded and just decides to sit in your fire.
The main way scorch does his thing is throwing cannisters behind an enemy titan and then holding heat shield in his face. So his options are just frying pan and fire. Obviously you can‘t engage at really long distances with scorch ever. Try to stick to parts of the map with corners and short corridors. You‘ll never even touch a northstar on an open field.

I would buy this game, if I didn't need a shitty Origin account to play it. I refuse to ever install that horrific piece of shit.

Last two days my queue was exclusively LTS, Live Fire, PVP and CTF.
Had 2 minute queue times.

How do i into scorch? Ive tried but im just terrible

Forgot one last detail. Flame Core actually does a hundred tiny hits instead of one burst of damage. What this means is, it can kill a titan at 1/3rd of a normal health bar without it needing to be doomed. It‘ll just instantly burn through the remaining health and the doomed health all at once. It‘s pretty crazy and immensely satisfying.

And the multiplayer is actually pretty good too, its probably the last recent shooter ive had a fair bit of fun in outside of Doom

The more I read up on Scorch the more fun he sounds

He requires setup when facing another Titan. He benefits the most from flanking of all the Titans. I like to follow a general flowchart for engagements with Scorch:
>Get within a decent range
>Drop Thermite gas
>Flame wall through it into the enemy
>Fire a canister shot
>Throw more gas to where they're running
>Dash at them while reloading
>Either fire another shot or start burning them with Flame Shield depending on how far you are
If a pilot comes at you just melee or Flame Shield. If a pilot runs into a high door or window, fire your canister in after them. If a pilot enters the ground floor of something, flame wall right into the door. Don't be afraid to take damage, you're a designated tank when alongside other friendly Titans and if you can't catch enemies then you can use your fire to deny space and make them run to where your team wants them.

Also First Responder is the GOAT paintjob for him. I use that with the dragon decal and Stoic Gold paint on the Thermite Launcher.

there's a /tfg/ network, search "titanfall general" and its the one created by sniperwaifu

Most straight forward scorch build is turbo engine and enhanced heat shield.
Oh and one more thing. Scorch may be slow, but try to outflank the enemy anyway like a Ronin. If you can just walk up to someone from behind without using any dashes/ heat shield and you managed to deploy your traps already, the enemy is probably fucked. In LTS the best moments are when you catch an entire enemy team unawares with a scorch in a chokepoint. You can get 25k damage or more in a single 10 second engagement in those circumstances and win single-handedly. So don‘t feel too bad for walking for long periods to get there.
