lacked features from previous titles
worse story in the franchise

It's just a poorly thought out enemy. Both Dante and Nero can kill them even on DMD off a single trade (and the timing is simple to get down, look at the stance before they teleport), so at best you're just waiting around for them to attack and then you kill them one and done. There's no real point to them the two scenarios where they are accompanied by other enemies you can just nuke the room with SDT

looks like a MHW enemy

It's literally the opposite.
Unless you're a inertia autist.

faggot keep jumping around and you cant even hit him because he does that Flash bullshit of vibrating fast to become intangible, then he appears out of nowhere and blows 3/4 of you health bar with two hits, Dante can handle him with cerberus and kalinna but Nero is a pain in the dick. Fuck him and every single ranged enemy in DMC

He's not the only one.

Nothing, if you're patient they're pretty simple to deal with.
Honestly have more trouble with the basic lizards because they can be surprisingly aggressive on DMD and have fewer tells.

WHAT THE FUCK

>MRW this crap showed up
It makes no sense and the design is the stupidest thing in the entire franchise, including DmC

Post the edit

Absolutely nothing. Learn to parry.

>worse than hulk hands and kablooey
C'mon son.

I would debate that. I can think of a few DmC designs that seem rather head scratching.

I believe it's more than just beating them. it's about how they are rigged to not be something you can raise your style meter with and how they disrupt the rhythm of any fight they're in.

Dante's son is gonna have to inherit this...

bitch boys once you figure them out.

blitz from four was much scarier.

Nothing a little redesign can't help.

I think they should've used Rebellion with the open mouthed skull and horns for his Devil Sword Dante instead of an entirely new sword. Then just have Rebellion open up in the middle like how the DSD works. DSD looks so fucking generic to me compared to Rebellion.

>Dante's son
Ha good one. Maybe Nero's kid will use it some day

You take that back.

Rebellion is generic as fuck, man. In fact all the swords, save for RQ, are the most generic weapons in DMC by far.

I agree but for more than just design reasons. I think Rebellion represents Dante perfectly. It's a sword with a human skull on one side and a horned one on the other. Simple but direct.

But, yes, I find DSD to be tremendously generic. Rebellion and Alistor looked like they belonged on the cover of a heavy metal album cover but this one looked like a run of the mill comic book design and I'm not feeling it.

Hes not wrong though

How does the dragon sword look like a comic book design but the basic ass skull sword doesn't?

>basic ass skull
Basic? Fuck off, mate. Even if it was so that wouldn't make it a bad design. It's dynamic with an interesting concept and good overall look. Far more unique than DSD, even with all of it's basicness. You can deny the obvious to yourself all you want but don't try to pitch it around here.

I just bought this. Is it an online only game? I've heard alot about it and I'm probably going to give it a try this week but my internet probably won't be able to handle only multiplayer.

>Inertia Autist
I like the sound of that. What does it mean?

You can play it singleplayer but the game reaches it peak with multi

Nothing, retards just got filtered by the most unique enemy to fight

I'd fuck it and I'd fuck Odie too

Inertia was a side effect of the old DMC4 engine that made it so when you did certain moves the character would move forward or back in the air carried by their inertia from those moves. It was hard to pull off and I don't know if it had any real combat applications but combo fags loved that shit. With the new 5 engine, though, I don't think it still works.

R-Red Prince...your majesty... please get dressed

Wort Wort Wort

I see... I'll give it a try and see if my internet won't slow the game down to a crawl. Thanks.

what exactly is a generic sword to you, retard

It is basic. You can find hundreds of swords which are just like it on other properties. Its design is not unique, it's not particularly intrincate and as a weapon it NEVER did anything interesting. At least Alastor had lightning and an iconic color. At least Sparda could transform even if what basically Soul Edge. Rebellion is the most vanilla ass sword in the entire series and comes from the title with the worst gameplay. This series has Alastor, Nevan, A&R, Beowulf, Gilgamesh, Lucifer, Pandora, Cerberus/King Cerberus, Ifrit/Balrog, Artemis, Nightmare-Beta/Gamma, Dr. Faust, Red Queen... We lost literally nothing by not having Rebellion anymore.

And you think it's an interesting concept? Well, DSD has an interesting concept too. It's a piece of Dante that stays on SDT at all time, it can teleport because it's a part of him, basically his soul just like DSS is part of Sparda's soul. It can open up and manifest more swords which is more than Rebellion ever did. See how easy it is to embellish things?

I just want Alastor.
It should have been Alastor as his sword and Dante have a thunder looking form instead of the basic lava look of DSD

That's too far but I admit I modded it out the second I found something better
