I thought this game was pretty good, what about you?

I didn't play it, even if that was the idea set from last week's thread.
Instead, I started Fossil Fighters Champions, and boy did I love it.
While I like the weirder direction the first game went with it's story, the characters in general were better than the first.
I liked the gameplay a ton too. Discovering Super Evolution without even knowing it existed was like playing a game before you knew everything thanks to the internet.
Very good time. Looking forward to seeing some of the post-game content and even doing a New Game+

Bump

I thought the story was a step down from the first games. though you could say it was nonexistent it feel patronizing like Champions, but it's been a few years since I last played it so I could of forgotten some details that would make me change my mind.

I beat Digimon World yesterday, people exaggerate how hard it is.

To be fair, both stories start off very simple and basic.
>first game you go through areas and a tournament while fighting an evil team
>second game you go through areas and a tournament while fighting an evil team
The main difference is how the story picks up past these basic points.
>first game alien dinosaur people who started evolution on Earth in the first place want to genocide humans before a world-eating tadpole comes and you have to fight it's 3 brains
>second game the good guy is actually the bad guy that stool the good guy's body and the bad guy is the good guy trying to stop his plans, and then the bad guy steals your rival's body and uses magic to make a floating bone fortress and turning into a big bone dinosaur
So yeah, first has the second game beat in terms of story. But I think the second game's characters are better. Sure they're generic, but I like the rival well enough, and the 'evil team trio' of the second game is more fun caricatures of stereotypical teens instead of basically just the wannabe Team Rocket that is the first game's 'evil team trio.'

Do you have a mon that you consider your bro?

I have two, Roctops from Monster Racers and Priarocks from Monster Rancher.

Possibly Wydeawake.

Been playing through MR2 again since last week, it's still da best

there's a "seasonal shrine" mod that you can patch it with to get random monsters off the MR2 disc each month, I highly recommend it, maybe pair it with an "everything unlocked" cheat because otherwise you're gonna get cucked most of the time

This luckhacking piece of shit

God while the super big fossils are a cool idea, doing them solo is a pain and nigh-impossible to perfect even with save scumming.

Only this one and that is because he called me a bro first
I decided to not fuse him and even in the final battle he helped me out a lot with war cry

Anyone else try out the monster crown demo? Its got some cool ideas but boy howdy is it rough around the edges and the breeding doesn't seem worth it

Ose is pretty based, just a jaguar with a diaper and some cool swords who seems to be really strong in every SMT game ive had him

>Diaper
It looks more like he is wearing a codpiece

A few years back I watched a streamer play through Champions with cool dinofacts and top-notch voice acting

I loved GAYLORD SUPREME the maiasaur and he had a Dunkle as well, I don't think he finished postgame though

Pikmin would be ripe for a spinoff in this genre.

It's a good game to kill time on, I replay it often.
What the fuck is up with Reinharts tourney match? Turbo Start was a fucking mistake

It's easy when you have a strong connection and easily accessible lists of what evolves into what and the stat goals. People didn't know how much they needed to train their Digimon back in the day and it doesn't tell you either.

The music was really good, i liked the grand prix race theme.

I can't believe Pokemon ripped off the BB Brigade to make Team Skull.

Which game has the best bugs?

I'm gonna start this soon, any tips you would like to pass down?

Minimize your airtime, you move a little slower when your jumping.

so repetitive a younger me dropped it 10 years ago

Yo-Kai Watch has some pretty good bugs.
If I'm completely honest though I like Pokemon's bugs the most.

In my opinion, digimon has the best bugs.

I fucking loved monster Racers. The breeding mechanics had me entertained way after I beat the game. Haven't played it in years though.

GIVE ME FOSSIL FIGHTER 3 DAMMIT.

>GIVE ME FOSSIL FIGHTER 3 DAMMIT.
do we tell him?

It exists.
Unfortunately, it's not exactly that good.
I've been watching an Let's Play of it while I was playing Champions, and even then I could still see the many issues it had that led to it being not exactly liked.
