>shock the old audience for controversybux by making R=U canon. >Ample room to rewrite Irvine, Quistis, Zell and Selphie to give them oodles of personality and appeal. >School-based settings are extremely popular for a whole host of reasons. >Remake Triple Triad into a Gwent-style phenomenon with online play for longevity. >Battle system can be remade from the ground up, as long as it focuses on GFs. FF7's summoning system would be much more at home here.
>This would have been the kino modern RPG success. Not really, you would have found something to complain and call it a flop.
Jaxson Rodriguez
i just want to fuck quistis
Logan Hall
FFVIII is one of the best Final Fantasys anyways so i'd prefered it over VII but that's just my taste. Based
Charles Johnson
not him but as long as it had turn based combat i'd be on board
Gabriel Brown
I think she needs the least rewriting, but they could take her interest in trains and translate that into something that makes the fact she's a special operations child soldier more apparent. Or that she's from a different school and culture.
Ryan Thomas
The whole time jannies thing from 7 Remake would actually fit in with 8.
Blake Richardson
Ultimecia literally is a time jannie.
Benjamin Ramirez
Does she do it for free though ?
I like her simple... she's just a free and simple cute girl.
Zachary Walker
Can you imagine the looks on people's faces if at the end of 7 Remake the leader of the Time Jannies appear as a boss and it IS Ultemecia?
It's unironically Squall. He's absolutely based. Best portrayal of a weird autist thrown into ridiculous situations.
Ayden Davis
and when you defeat Ultimecia, you have to fight Necron on Terra
Luke Sanders
I would've left Squall dead at the end of Disc 1 and pick up with a Traumatized Seifer free from the Sorceress Spell because of being instrumental for the murder of his school rival.
Tyler Collins
Nobody remembers this game. I wouldn’t have remembered those names if you didn’t type them out. It was a forgettable and bad game. A remake would sell a few hundred thousand copies max
Reminder that Ultimecia didn't actually have any innate power over time. She had to use Odine's machine to travel to the past in order to manipulate the real time wizard Ellone.
Joshua Taylor
Problem is you are thinking like a sane person.
Nomura would have made it about dimensional beings with keyblades and turned the combat into press x for everything.
Ryder Murphy
>Ample room to rewrite >Battle system can be remade from the ground up That's specifically what they wouldn't do. All FF remakes have kept everything the same and transferred it into a new graphical engine. No improvements to story, gameplay, flow or design. The one exception to this is FFVII Remake. But despite having massive gameplay and story changes, it's not the stuff they should have changed.
And since Nomura and Nojima would be in charge of a FFVIII reboot, it would be a disaster. She and all the others did have a personality. But the translation was still horrible. Every characters personality was really different than the original Japanese. Especially for Squall and Zell. The game doesn't need a full remake. Just a new translation.
Judging by how shit the FFVII remake is, I'd be happier if they left VIII alone
Nolan Turner
Q=U is a better theory.
Jordan Phillips
>All FF remakes have kept everything the same and transferred it into a new graphical engine. No improvements to story, gameplay, flow or design. The one exception to this is FFVII Remake I think you are confusing remasters with remakes, which only ff7 has got that treatment
Colton Wright
>Selphie likes trains I wish I liked anything socially acceptable. Even train autists are more tolerable than gamers.
Jackson Lee
yeah, you are THAT mediocre
Aaron Ward
Turn-based > Real-time
I will fight you, nigger.
Caleb Cook
No, they are nothing alike and one isnt better than the other.
Sebastian Gray
You could say that for anything, you dung-brained centrist fuck
Cooper Jackson
FF1-4 also got remakes. They didn't change or improve the story in those games. Just added weak bonus dungeons or cinematics.
