Are we gonna act like that this was 100% perfect?

Nordic Interns working overtime today.
>b-b-but the original wasn't perfect!
Fucking lying publishers deserved to be shamed.

So what exactly happened? Why are people sperging out about the remaster?

Spongebob killed Nickelodeon

It has one thing over modern games, it's actually fun

For a $30 game it's fine. It doesn't need to be perfect. The core game play is fun enough to sink a good 10 hours or so. Nostalgia helps too.

the game got low reviews.
that's literally what made people who didn't like the game go into fucking overdrive (maybe a bit of the gameplay leaks but that was a bit smaller).

Critics aren't too hot towards it, which was expected
But people are losing their minds over Gamespot's review by a diversity hire zoomer

why would anyone bother with a remake of a game from the early 00s when we could get a new friggin game with a lil effort and elbow juices

Ohnononono

Holy fucking SHILL

It's not perfect but it's certainly not a fucking 2

One gamespot reviewer somehow can't handle a platformer from the 2000s and anons who were waiting for the chance are starting to come out.

Careful now, say anything bad about the game and Shift will send his shill speedrunner friends and fanboys to correct you otherwise.

Still gonna enjoy it, snoys can keep trying to tortanic it to distract from TLOU2 but it won't help anything

We have the same last name

It's the same exact game with more bugs, longer load times, bad audio mixing, and the cherry on top is that none of the cut content was restored.

Shut up THQ

Imperfections only make video games more interesting.

I don't think it's that great at all really, like I'd give it a 6.5 on a good day
but if TLOU2 is a 10 this shit is at least an 8

I swear I keep seeing you make the exact same complaints in EVERY BFBB THREAD TODAY

Also I wasn't expecting much from the cut content or the multiplayer. I just wanted to play a remake of the original.

>Kelp Forest full of backtracking
literally the only thing I had to go back for was find the last camper

Yes, it's pretty fantastic, definitely one of the best video games of all time, probably in the top 10.
It is objectively better than any 5th gen 3D platformer and most first party PS2 3D platformers.

what was even up with that weird phase around the xbox and ps2 era where unlocking everything gets you concept art? I remember serious sam did this and a couple others

"Collect all the things" is a great way to get people to see all corners of the game world. People who want to see concept art, dev notes or to play the game again with some nonsense like 'big head mode' should be the same sort of people who appreciate exploring everything. Makes sense to me at least, so I don't get why that's worth pointing out.
Plus it drums up playtime statistics, and what publisher doesn't salivate at that idea?

he has a point, most threads making fun of it usually have TLOU2 in the other game talked about.
i don't think the game's perfect, it has it's bad moments like kelp forest and some minibosses taking a while (mainly dutchman). but it does seem that at least a few anons making fun of it are people trying to capitalize on reviewers shitting on the game.

it wasnt perfect back in the days but it was a fun 3D Spongebob game. At least it was a good remaster unlike Resident Evil 3 Remake

both kotaku and easy allies liked it and they were reviewed by people who enjoy platformers.

then just play the fucking original

..

>tfw Kotaku is the voice of reason and better able to provide a fair review
>tfw the GameSpot greg-floyd and IGN Sony shill reviews are dragging down the metascore
>tfw you've browsed this board for too long and feel personally attacked when journos shit on your nostalgia trip and make the retard box show small number

The game is /comfy/ to me and who cares what anyone else thinks.

>Having to grind Shiny Objects to look at THE CONCEPT ART
Oh, that's what that is? Never bothered.
But yeah, this is not the peak of 6th gen, but it's still a damn good game.

It was always shit hyped up by zoomer nostalgia.
