Will this shit overheat?

Why the fuck isn't there a vent next to that heat sink?

No that fan is actually a remodeled cessna propeller

The heatsink and fan are taking like half of the box, I'll be morbidly impressed if it overheats.

just drill a hole on the heatsink side and put another fan
easy

Doubt it. It looks like it was designed specifically to avoid that at all costs. The Ps5, on the other hand, looks a little concerning.

It doesn't need one. The fins run vertically for that fan to pull air through them. It's fine.

truly a miracle of engineering
xbox chads, we got this.

black box
massive heatsink
little space wasted
simple as

Of course not, more than 50% of the volume is used for heat dissipation ffs.
Go crack open a laptop sometime.

No. Won't lie, the device seems pretty well designed. It's a shame everything else about it will be terrible.

>Will this shit overheat?
look at the cheer size of the vapor chamber heatsink, a better question would be: how's PS5 going to maintain the overclocked speeds they're boasting about? you still believe its not 9,2Tflops overclocked to hell? kek

Honestly this seems like a very efficient design. It's a similar design principle to mini-ITX builds.

The RROD cost Microsoft billions of dollars in extended warranty repair coverage. I'm pretty sure they want to avoid repeating that fiasco, so they made this one a fucking wind tunnel.

that thing is so simple, just drill some more holes next to the radiator fins if the internal temp gets out of hand. looks preddy cramped. another vent on the side couldn't hurt i think

>multibillion dollar corporation that has top of the line engineers

>Make the next xbox a knockoff of a meme MSI tower built 5 years ago

No, it's a console. They test them before producing them. They're not like PCs where every one is different and some set-ups may overheat.

The 360 and Ps3 would like a word.

>They test them before producing them
That doesn't mean they don't shit without problems. The list of consoles with defects is LONG.

>stupidly functional design
>uhmm ese, w-welll eet overheeet?
Holy fuck.

First gens are always a massive fuckup in some way. Gotta wait for the second or the inevitable "Pro" versions

People looks at these PC "gaming" cases and infer the only way to have good cooling is a big empty box with tons of fans everywhere.

You got anything intelligent to tell me or did you just reply to me to say something stupid?

yes that is essentially how it works, pcs have big boy parts not mobile APU's

The top exhaust fan causes negative pressure which draws air in from vents on the bottom of the case (it's very slightly raised off the floor). That air gets pulled over the heat sink on the way up.

I've seen a good number of folks saying that the larger fan will mean it's loud. People are stupid.

THE SUCC

>buying a tornado creating machine
looks dangerous

Microtowers still have a way to go with cooling unless you can manage water cool setup. They also require blower cards most the time so, yeah mid tower with a good fan or a noctua will cool much better.

Also whereas my PC is perfectly silent just about every playstation after the first and xbox 360 and up have sounded like a plane landing and have cooling issues.

if it works, it works. does the xbox even have intake fans?
