gamecube controller is the comfiest controller ever made, but it's awful for any game that isn't smash bros.

Switch Pro controller deserves better

The Switch Pro controller is the first controller since the 360 where I don't feel confidence that when I push a direction on the D-Pad I won't end up selecting something else in a menu completely. It's so bad that I bought an adapter just to use a DS4 on my Switch for Xenoblade because it kept registering up or down when I was selecting arts. It really is astonishing how bad it is and how much blind love it gets from Nintensoys here.

I love Gamecube and its controllers but I remember getting occasional drift. Wasn't a huge issue but enough to bump down to S.
SNES were good and perfectly specialbut not particularly comfortable, I'd say B.
Genesis was pretty crap, C at best.
360 should be higher.
Wii U gamepad was great despite being shackled to a system with no games. I really liked it, and having offscreen as an option was nice. Some games used it quite well for asymmetrical multiplayer too.
64 wasn't really that bad. Not great, but certainly not F tier, the issues were more with having stuff that was rarely used than not being able to use what you needed.
You're correct that Joy-Cons are beyond redemption and I don't understand why normies don't seem to feel that way.Having to take apart your controllers to fix them within months of buying them brand new is not normal.

Joycons are poorly designed from its core, the build quality is just the icing on top of the shit sundae(s). The shoulder buttons are awful, the literal no d-pad, the +- buttons are fucking miserable to press frequently, the right stick has a fucked up position because of the sideways gimmick, I truly hate every aspect of them.

Wii U gamepad is pretty underrated. Despite how it looks I always felt like it fit nicely into my hands. The uses of the second screen were nice too, only the Switch can replicate it but that requires using the fucking horrendous joycons. I can't think of any games that have waggle bullshit like the Wiimote and Nunchuk do but at least the latter doesn't feel like cheap knockoff trash.

It's the most comfortable DualShock but it also has a slightly worse D-Pad, shit battery life, and lots of input lag when wired. If it weren't for those flaws it would be S+ tier.
