The N Sane design worked great for that game since it was largely faithful to the original art style but I think 4s designs look a lot more slick.
Toys 4 Bob does have an issue where the characters tend to look good only from one or two angles thanks to their house style and how they do concept art, its really apparent with Elora and Coco, but its not something that ruins the game.

Lighting and fur aside, there is nothing wrong with Vicarious Vision's model, you can see when they were allowed to be goofy that the model can pull off some insanely great expressions. Saying that though, I don't hate Toys for Bob's model.

New Crash's head is sunken into his shoulders and his fur looks like plastic. They don't have to use a fur shader but at least texture the strands more realistically
