I wouldn't say I trust the opinion of any critic, but I would say I trust the taste of many. If I know what they like and enjoy as gamers then I use that as pretty good gauge to measure how much I might like it.

I actually like Dunkey's reviews when they are serious. They are surprisingly thoughtful. His RDR2 review was sobering compared to all the bullshit being spewed. Also his analysis on game critics in general was spot on. However, he thinks way too highly of anything Nintendo. The same way Yahtzee thinks way too highly of anything from the golden age of Valve. However, every critic has their preferences I guess.

I'm hoping he's going to point out "Spec Ops did it first", considering he held that game close to his heart back then.

Yahtzee's pretty dumb and lets his emotions give flawed games he likes excessive praise and bad games way too much shit without ever expressing it well. But I guess that's his job and trademark. Sterling is a tiny bit more respectable because he makes it very clear what stupid autistic thing he hates about a game and exaggerates it.
