Action RPG with souls like combat, DBZ: kakarots biggest mistake was shitty simple combat.
That's all you need to do to sell an anime game though, just some story maybe some filler chapter in addition by kubo, good music and not a trash tier combat system.

3rd person action of some sort. That would actually be sick as fuck too since there's plenty of cool powers to draw on. Of course we would never get something good just more shit like jump stars. I'd like to say make it a proper hack and slash but it feels like a waste to focus heavily on a single character like you would do for those genres and you'd be better off doing something that lets you have multiple characters with relatively simple movelists.
Man this is a weirdly good suggestion. Ignoring all the stealth and ninja stuff, the actual combat for Sekiro would fit pretty well I think.
