His playthrough of OoT demonstrably shows that he's not.
He's terrible at the game and takes out his frustrations on the game itself, despite his being bad at it. Take for example him saying there's way too much climbing. And yet he never uses the hookshot to pull himself further up climbable walls. Or how so many enemies require you to wait before you attack, despite using your shield speeding up the attack cycle and opening enemies up.

See one of the things that pisses me off about Arin's Sequelitis is he made an off-hand remark about the game's graphics: "at the time."
The game was made in fucking 1998. Of course the graphics aren't going to be as good as what we have in current year. How is this an argument about the game being bad? Should I shit all over Megaman X and it's lousy Super Nintendo graphics?
