Shadow Tactics vs. Desperados 3

which one Zig Forums?

Desperados is newer so it's worse.

It's the same game.

both

Yes.

I'd say that they're about on par. Desperados is a bit better in some cases and has some quality of life improvements going for it, but that's to be expected from what's essentially just a refinement.

I like Desperados more, the story, the setting, classic western kino.

Did someone say kino?

do you get to kill a decent number of mexicans in desperados

From a gameplay perspective, you can't go wrong with either. They're both really competent Commandos-likes. Personally, I don't like the Wild West as a setting so Shadow Tactics is what I'd recommend.

It's a poncho slaughter.

BOTH

fuuck that part was kino as fuck

Please use spoilers, asshole.

BOTH, but I prefered Shadow Tactics. The voice acting was funnier.

Especially the autist little girl who wanted to kill and steal everything. Also the crazy old guy.

Desperados III is ST but with better gameplay and QoL along with more content, the only reason why you'd prefer ST is if you're a weeb like me and that won't stop you from enjoying Desperados 3 anyways. Comparing the two is kinda pointless.

Yeah, but they're not mexicans, but white grey haired dudes with hair loss.

I don't think she's meant to be autistic

Dunno yet because I wanted to replay the first game. Holy fuck it's hard as fuck compared to Shadow Tactics. I don't remember Commandos 1-2 being this hard either.

>puzzle games
so, neither, but out of the choice between "feudal japan stealthy ninjas" and "spaghetti wild western stealthy cowboys" i'm gonna have to go with the least retarded option, which is obviously shogun 2 with a full stack of kisho ninja

shit taste

>puzzle games
no, you retard.
games where you have to employ a modicum of thinking are not puzzle games, who the hell started this meme?

games where things follow a set path that never deviates and merely repeats until you figure out how to bypass it
>but its up to my playstyle, its not set in stone!
puzzles can have multiple solutions user

This is bullshit you made up on the spot that's so broad and meaningless, it could be applied to good 80% of games out there.

I liked the visuals and characters in ST more so it's a bit better for me.
But just a little bit.

Shadow tactics is Desperados with ninjas
Desperados is Shadow Tactics with gunslingers

Both are based and KINO

>it could be applied to 80% of games out there
yes
and it doesn't make it any less gay

>Scripted challenge is "gay"
Are you next going to argue some assburger nonsense like "open world make-your-own-fun stuff is the final form of video games!"

user I wanted to tell you to not bother the first time you replied to him but at this point I really have to say it. This genre just isn't for some people at all and instead of accepting that they just come up with copes, just let them be.

fuck off faggot your gay

it's heavily implied she's a rape victim though
so no wonder she loves killing bad people

I don't remember that at all

Desperados. I was a fan of the series since 2001 and I have a very soft spot for those characters. I guess it's nice to see them again. And Kate is D3 is cute as fuck.
I also had a blast seeing those characters at the begining of their "career".

She acknowledges she knows what rape is but she's pretty reticent to say it out loud, she also mentions her mom some other time. I always assumed that this implied she saw her mother get raped while living in that one castle and that she ran away when she was killed by what I assume was a samurai since she's surprised Mugen is nice as well.

Still shocked that they kill off a main character in ST.
Does this happen in Desperados3 too?

I played Shadow Tactics with japanese voices.

No_

i did it the third or fourth time i went through, i really don't understand why weebs prefer that

not him but yuki in english is slightly cringe
