I disagree, the game is actually good. Feel free to seethe more because you're a masculine HRT victim that couldn't get as built as Kratos though.

>some cost double
That's a fucking lie.

That shitty Deadpool game cost over $100 millions. To put things the into perspective, MGSV cost less than that.

$15,000 per developer month
Why do these fucking faggots get paid so much?

GTAV definitely cost at least $300mil

nuGOW was the only "cinematic" game I actually enjoyed this gen. It was fun and wholesome. You should play it sometime.

Did $90 million of that go to ryan reynolds to voice it, because I don't see what else they could've spent that money on.

They don't. $180,000 a year is nonsense. Even the most senior developers on staff don't make that, much less it being the average salary.

This. I actually didn't mind the cinematic stuff considering I liked the story and characters.

A fuckton of work hours judging by how common crunch is in game development.

I don't want to defend Snoy but their cinematic games bring in more than the money. Good PR and more customers who want in the popularity of the platform. So they can blow a lot of money even if they won't make it back through sales.

How the fuck did Deadpool cost over $100 million?

I bet they were funneling money from that into other pet projects and then writing it off as a loss.

Kinda crazy considering how ridiculously ugly the game was.

What about taxes, operating costs, hardware (equipment and replacements, packaging, etc.) R&I which doesn't happen in a vacuum so a fraction of its cost should definitely be associated to a project in particular, etc.
It's easy to think shit's cheap when your only reference is how much you're paying to play it

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most_expensive_video_games_to_develop
>development cost: 137 milion

>R&I
R&D I mean

wasting all this cash on graphics doesnt make the game automatically sell more, its lazy and cheap in artistic sense
you are better off having to design stuff around carefully selected limitations, that leave you more room to great really compelling experience

I recently replayed the game to get platinum. Anything lower than Give Me God of War difficulty sucks, it's too easy and the player doesn't have to know all the mechanics to success, Kratos teleports when swinging his axe and the enemies are a lot more soft. Specially the valkyrie are washed off.

The games is good, but only in the right difficulty. Anyone who says the game sucks is because they played the game in a lower difficulty.

If you think about it, nu-GoW is just TLOU2 but better

Thats how much the devs cost the employeer. They get paid the half if it were germany. Dunno about the us and healthcare but shouldalso be about half. Fuck captcha 11 times now.

>That shitty Deadpool game cost over $100 millions.
I question whether that's true. Everyone seems to have copy and pasted almost the exact same "an estimated $100 million " line but there's no source for this. Who the fuck estimated it? When? This "fact" just seems to have popped up out of nowhere and everyone is just happy to repeat this anonymous "estimation" and not make any attempt whatsoever to verify it.

>Anything lower than Give Me God of War difficulty sucks
now there are retards on Zig Forums who only like challenging shit
but you are not one of them, you are a tryhard only likes straight up shit lmao

Probably them just tossing finished work out again and again because the Marvel execs had a slight change of mind or some shit. That's normally how projects explode in dev time and budget: shit workflow that doesn't commit.

the only people that say the game sucks are just seething xdrones that didnt play the game at all.
Also, isnt GMGOW difficulty locked on the first run? I remember not being able to select it

Jeez , what is with Sony and over-budgeting for most of thier games? This can't be sustainable in the long run for them no matter how much games they sell.

It's called 'Scope Creep'.

The higher the budget, the worse the game is. Aside from FFX there has never been a single good game with a 60+ million dollar budget

>reading comprehension

>MW2 marketing was 4 time more expensive than the actual development cost
Jessus

>voiced by Nolan North

and before you go "oh he's probably expensive too" video game voice actors make jack shit
